Hi,
after Civ5 is loaded from a saved game, terrain updates when one moves over it for the 1st time. Gray tiles are being substituted with proper terrain. If one waits a little before going into game, this happens in the background. On very powerful machines this may not happen at all, dunno.
My problem is that the gray area never goes away. Terrain is gray almost every time I jump to a new location using minimap or scroll fast enough using other methods.
On the screencap you can see the issue in progress. The process is very fast, alas it doesn't help much.
I'm playing in the dx10/11 mode and have never had this problem before. I tried restarting the game but it did not do any good.
Afaik my drivers up to date, my system has much more than enough computing power and the installation is not corrupted in any way. Here's dxdiag.txt
This issue is not affecting fps or general performance of the game, nonetheless it's extremely annoying.
