Great Chief Rain-in-the-face of the Sioux: 3d animated era-specific leaderhead + pcxs

Thanks Snakelover, I allready have that one, using it for the lakota in my scenario. I was hoping to use R8XFT's one to replace either the Firaxis' Iroquois or CivArmy's Cherokee. Anyone has this somewhere? CDG is gone!

Great Chief Rain-in-the-face is now available at 3d downloads; the link in the first post has been updated.

As the others have already said, this is a great LH and is definitely replacing my default Iroquois nation. I never did like Hiawatha or the Iroquios nation in the stead of the Sioux (which were in Civ II). Anyways, the Sioux were much more warlike and that's what I'm looking for when I play strategy games damn it! :D

Once again, great leader head! :goodjob:

Thanks for the comments!

I hope that all those people requesting the leaderhead will now download it (only two of them have gone for it so far....c'mon, I've a reputation to keep ;) !!)

I'm officially sporting this puppy now as well! The reason I didn't initially dowload it was that my computer was lagging like a 90 year old with metal hip implants! I had neither the patience nor the time to wait that long so I waited to do it on another day....such as this one.

The Leaderheads look great! However just FYI the military leaders are not correct. Tecumseh & Cornplanter were not Sioux. Crazy Horse & Red Cloud would be more historically accurate. Crazy Horse was the war leader at Little Big Horn & Red Cloud in the 1860's wars. Sitting Bull was too old at the Little Big Horn to fight but had become the spiritual leader & most respected Leader of all the Sioux by that time & until his death in 1890.

If you are going to do another Sioux chief Sitting Bull would be a good one to do if its not already done. Hope this is helpful.

Oh, rob, since this thread has been bumped, I'd like to make 2 observations:

First of all, half the MGL and SGL are Iroquois or Pawnee, not Souix.....

For a better MGL list, try:

Red Cloud

Sitting Bull

Gall

SGL:

John Two-Hawks (actually he's more of a cultural leader, but still)... I'll see what I can come up with later... I have a book on North American Indians, and Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs, which has the Souix as a playable civ, and I'll look at their list of random Warchief names that the AI uses during SP skirmish games (the List is actually historically accurate, since I've been able to verify all the European civ's Explorer names as being associated with the particular civs).

Secondly, If you put your unit on a horse (preferably a gray/spotted apaloosa type), you'd have a passable Lakota Dog Soldier (one of the Soiux UUs in AoE III)... The Lakota word for Horse actually translates as "Sacred Dog" since prior to that, the closest thing they had in the way of domesticated animals were dogs....

I am surprised nobody had suggested the most famous Lakota leaders out there, Crazy Horse and Black Elk.:D

I did a paper on Crazy Horse in my military History course. only Lakota Chief to never surrender to the Wasichus, Lakota for White man.

Below is a painting of Crazy horse, and it illustrates what the Lakota Shields were really like. :D

Anyone who reads this still has this Leaderhead?! I want to use it for my mod.
