great general animations

hi everyone.....

i am making some civil war era great generals for Shiggs, and i wanted some input.....unfortunatley, i do not have access to my game at this time, so i can't see the animations for myself.....so the question is.....which animation would look best for these guys?....for that matter, do the GG animations differ?

WOW! Those are great, Bernie! (I may have to steal them for my mod.)

I don't think animations really matter, but I can't think of any animations. The modern Great general might work, but the crouch might look funny. Maybe rifleman, but thats not quite doing it for me either...

I think they look AWESOME!! but can't think of fitting animations.

I was thinking that to, but I think his arm might look funny w/out a shield. If you have Colonization, I'd use the unarmed Veteran Soldier or Unarmed Regular.

unfortunately, i dont have Col, heck, i dont even have civ4 right now....

i can put any weapons or horse whip, etc on them, i'm just wondering how the animation will look.....

i found this nice model made by AlazkanAssassin a while back....uses medieval warlord animations (no sheild), still, really dont know how it will look "in action".

Well, AFAIK, the GG doesn't do anything but cheer on the other units by raising his sword, so no real problems with that kfm.

thanks to everyone for the advice .....

i have essentially finished the boys, except for some minor issues (need to flip some normals in blender).....i have decided to try the "Warlord_MiddleAge" animation.....but i need a "virgin" *Warlord_MiddleAge.nif* file to do the boning/rigging....if some one could please upload it to the thread, it would be greatly appreciated....
