Great Sage From Writing

Golden Age saved my life one time :) I had a Lone Warrior guarding my second City (the rest were chasing Orthus) and I decided to attack a Goblin who was standing next to the City and might Pillage my Gold Mine. Well, somehow the Goblin Wins, and now I have an unguarded City with a Barbarian right next to it! I was 3 turns from finishing production of a scout, so I popped a Golden Age (I was Balseraph, so I used Revelry), and it enhanced production enough to get the scout to finish in 1 turn, thus allowing me to have a defender when the Barbarian turn came up :)

My wife, playing the Balseraphs, likes to have a string of Golden Ages. She'll use Revelry, and go for Drama(IIRC) for the Bard and the wonder (Bone Palace?) that gives a Golden Age. In the meantime, especially during the Golden Ages, she's got as much of her population as she can get away with working as specialists - for more Great People for Golden Ages.

I've never kept track, but it often _seems_ like she'll spend most of the game in a Golden Age.
