OOC: Rats. I come just in time to miss the first battle of the game. :(
[OOC]Ditto, and I was eating at the time. Lozzy, please slow down so that some of us can catch up and decide wether or not to fight :p[/OCC]

How about we lure a few Jerries in and take them out.
Since I have can speak German, We can order a few in and ambush them, Though it will be risky as firearms cant be used.

Yacko and LWM also speak German as if native (language talent).

And I will slow down for you guys.

In the distance you hear the last gate closing, and the Germans walking back towards you, about 150 feet away.

At the next section of this chapter I will introduce some new "rules" to help keep this thing flowing AND let everyone keep up.

I will also give more detailed explanations of combat and answer any queeries.

Let's ambush the Germans, then head toward our objective.

I agree, Perhaps we should seek shelter in that house and just ambush them when the enter the house. Ill rifle but one of them while you shot them.

You hear the Germans approaching...

120 yards away...

If you want to set an smbush or whatever, say what you want to do (rather than just discuss it) and I can then reply to it...

Actualy, I agree. Im going inside the house to look for any uniforms and take possition upstairs.

How many Germans are there?

Well more than double the number of your squad (from earlier accounts), although more or less may be coming now

Sounds like roughly 20 are coming though.

Actualy, I dont wish to risk my life on this ambush. Im going inside the house to look for any uniforms.

It will take you a few minutes.

I will post the results when others have decided what to do in the time.

Ill go up to the upstairs and take possition. I suggest that whom ever has a PIAT come upstairs with me. I also need two people, Machine guns and rapid fire weapons highly recomended, to stay and guard the downstairs.

Once I open the first shot picking off a German, perferibly one of their officers or NCOs if they are in the group. Then the PIAT guy will take aim at the center of the group to create a sevear splash damage. The guys with rifles, including myself will occupy the top floor.

Right, I will set up the positions to get things going, then I will let you chose your actions for the combat (remember to keep in character), I will also do a more detailed explanation of combat at the end of this post.

I have also attached 2 floor plans so you know where everything is (ground floor first, then upstairs).

Positions:

Cockney- Armed with a Lee Enfield rifle, 2 Mills grenades, 2 smoke bombs and Webley revolver (bayonet)
- Will be controlled by CivGeneral for the remained of the combat
- Positioned at the window in the left room upstairs

Floor plans:

Ground floor:

First floor:

The black rectangles on the walls are doors, the grey ones are windows.
The other darker parts are objects of some description 9some are labelled).
On the ground floor, the left room is a kitchen and the right is a lounge.
Upstairs, the left room is a bedroom, the right the baby's room with cot, and the last room (bottom right) is a toilet.

Combat:

Combat is broken down into turns, each lasting a second.

You may queue actions for up to 3 turns.

All actions can be given to me, and then I will carry them all out in the right order.

Here are the options available to you:

Attack (e.g. shoot, swing your knife)
Aim (adds your weapons accuracy score to the to hit roll, only works if followed by an all out attack).
Brace weapon (hold a pistol 2 handed, use a 2 handed weapon with a tripod or if you are prone, resting on a window sill etc. This adds 1 to your roll).
Aim for an extra second (increaes roll by 1 for every second).
All out attack (melee combat has three options, see below):
1. Determined (single attack at +4 to hit).
2. Double (make 2 attacks).
3. Strong (adds 2 to damage, or 1 per die).
All out attack for firearms gives you +1 to hit.
All out defence (i'll keep this one simple for you, it increaes your defence, but allows no attack).
Ready (pick up or draw a weapon, or a physical action e.g. close a door).
Move
Move AND attack (uses just one action, but decreases accuracy by 4, wastes all aims etc, and in combat greatly reduces effect).
Do nothing (name says it all).
Change posture (e.g. stand, prone, kneel).

Hope that helps, if you've got any questions, just ask :goodjob:.

EDIT 1: Please specify where you are aiming (even if you don't use the aim action).
EDIT 2: Look at CG's actions, they are a good example.

I will give everyone 24 hours to reply with their actions, then I will improvise the rest myself and carry them all out.

If you are going to be away, please PM the rough kind of actions you want to perform over the duration of the combat.

Sorry nivi, you can double attack with a gun, it is just not feasable!

;).

The only attacks you can do with a gun are normal attack and all out attack (unless you are using it to butt someone of course).
