Hamm's Great Writer Collection

Muslims are not made of glass.

Yes, but Mohammad recorded it (or, at least, some of his scribes), and this should be sufficient.

BTW, there's a quote from Leviathan here, isn't there? Or in vanilla? There had better be :scan:

Hay Jfd could you ask if charlatan alley ok with voicing this mod.

I don't speak with Charlatan Alley, Kerrigan. I don't use him for my Dawn of Mans.
Could you maybe ask Tpangolin to ask charatan alley, i would ask myself but i'm afraid it wouldnt be relevant to the thread.

Kerrigan, you're a riot.

Why don't you PM TPangolin - or better yet, Pouakai - about getting in touch with Charlatan? That said, I strongly disbelieve that you should make the effort on ZH's behalf - it is ZH's prerogative to get in touch with someone to record these quotes, or in touch with someone to get in touch with someone to record these quotes, and I don't think ZH is all that compelled to do so. At least, he hasn't said so. He certainly hasn't asked you to do anything on his behalf. So mayhaps you should settle with un-voiced quotes until you're otherwise prompted to help.

Like i said, i would of asked on tp's thread but afraid it would be irelevant to the thread, i will ask zh, so zh would you like to ask or how me do it on your behalf or your just not bothered either way, which is up to you really.

Moderator Action: The point is, Kerrigan1603, that it's okay to suggest in the relevant thread that the author of the mod may want to consider having, in this case, someone voicing the great works. What isn't okay is actively seeking others to work on mods that are not your own without the author's permission. Please remember that in this case and in other threads.

Could you add H.P. Lovecraft? "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and in strange aeons even death may die." or the famous chant of the Cthulhu cultists would be great to see in game!

Edit: That was just off the top of my head. Here's a great quote from The Shadow Over Innsmouth, similar to Orwell's "He loved Big Brother" one. It also includes a few of Lovercraft's favorite adjectives and a better example of his prose in general.

"I shall plan my cousin’s escape from that Canton madhouse, and together we shall go to marvel-shadowed Innsmouth. We shall swim out to that brooding reef in the sea and dive down through black abysses to Cyclopean and many-columned Y’ha-nthlei, and in that lair of the Deep Ones we shall dwell amidst wonder and glory for ever."

I don't want to add Lovecraft, as he already is in the More Great Works mod.

While it would be cool to have these quotes voiced, I won't. Charlatan Alley probably has enough work on his hands, and actually adding the clips would just be boring bonus work for me. Besides, I have other mods I would rather work on than this, so even if I wanted to have voiceovers, it'd be long down on the priority list.

If you're still taking updates for this, I have a few. I don't remember nor have a list handy to tell what it and isn't already included between the base game, this, and the two mods quoted in the OP, so bear with me if I suggest some that are already represented. :)

Quotes are just good ones as an example, you can use them or choose another that's more fitting:

Spoiler :
Books:

Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games - “Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.”
Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird - “I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.
- Atticus Finch”
Stephenie Meyer, Twilight - “Even more, I had never meant to love him. One thing I truly knew - knew it in the pit of my stomach, in the center of my bones, knew it from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, knew it deep in my empty chest - was how love gave someone the power to break you”
Margaret Mitchell, Gone with the Wind - “Burdens are for shoulders strong enough to carry them.”
Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree - “Once there was a tree, and she loved a little boy very, very much-- even more than she loved herself.”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars - “My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.”
Veronica Roth, Divergent - “We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.”
Lois Lowry, The Giver - “The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared.”
Louis Sachar, Holes - “If only, if only," the woodpecker sighs,
"The bark on the tree was as soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely,
Crying to the moo-oo-oon,
"If only, If only.”
Ken Follerr, The Pillars of the Earth - She loved him because he had brought her back to life. She had been like a caterpillar in a cocoon, and he had drawn her out and shown her that she was a butterfly.”
Arthur Golden, Memoirs of a Geisha - “At the temple there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone. It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out. You cannot read loss, only feel it.”
Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time - “Love is a striking example of how little reality means to us.”
Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook - “I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..”
Eoin Colfer, Artemis Fowl - “Confidence is ignorance. If you're feeling cocky, it's because there's something you don't know."
Jeanne DuPrau, City of Ember - “Pay close attention to everything, notice what no one else notices. Then you'll know what no one else knows, and that's always useful.”
Cornelia Funke, Inkheart - “Books have to be heavy because the whole world's inside them.”
E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey (*shudder*) - “You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince” / “Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me. Perhaps I've spent too long in the company of my literary romantic heroes, and consequently my ideals and expectations are far too high.”
Stieg Larson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - “Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are.”
Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - “Mr. Wonka: "Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he wanted."
Charlie Bucket: "What happened?"
Mr. Wonka: "He lived happily ever after.”
Christopher Paolini, Eragon - “Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe.”
Daniel Defoe, Robinson Crusoe - “It is never too late to be wise.”

Movies:
Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - "I never blamed you, not once. You came for me. That's all that matters.
- Aerith Gainsborough"

Video Games:
Daisuke Watanabe, Final Fantasy XIII - "It's not a question of can or can't. There are some things in life you just do."

Well, I've been looking at the suggestions posted in this thread, on the workshop and the reddit post I made, and they total to... way too many, so I consider cutting out some. The suggestions on this page have priority, of course.

And I must not forget I originally did this purely for myself, so I'll add some new favourites I've gained since the previous update (including Undertale, Skyrim and, of course, RWBY).
