great progress Handy :goodjob: now we can start to raze towns, we do not need that much land I think, we are pretty high on domination already. I would send knight army to Babs, seems they are winning the war against England, need to slow them down.

Thanks, but it was very quiet. Mostly I MM'd and transported units. You guys won this game a long time ago. :goodjob: This is where the Iroquois game probably would have been if we had gotten the Glib.

Yes. The northern knight army did not attack, but only pillaged. It will lose a point now and then as it passes a cav, so let it heal when you need to. We need to explore and pillage all the AI tiles to slow their tech pace and force them to build weak units with that army.

Portugal will fall quickly once we get cannon across the pond. Upgrade the trebs before you ship the over. We will waste too many cav if we attack without artillery to knock a point or two off the muskets in Portugal. The cannon & cav combo is also usually good for lots of elite promotions. :D

The game went surprisingly smoothly - the team is strong indeed :p, but we also were very lucky with the map: alone on a huge continent against a resourceless civ...

I think the Americans are the ones to watch for, they are most advanced in tech, they have at least RP, let's hope they won't get to flight too soon. Unfortunately we have so far only 1 knight army that is out for pillage duty, we need more than that.
 
We're on our way, but we still have a ways to go.

Let's not worry about anything but this continent.
 
Most excellent progress. We need to pillage & explore to the north. We can get a ton of leaders from Longbows until the AI get rifles. If we pillage now it will take them that much longer to get to rifles.

Keep those corrupt cities MM'd. We can get a bunch of science from them. :thumbsup:

Nice call on the Pentagon. Adding a cav to the knight armies is nice.

Do a litle study and check the victory conditions. We have 42% of the land according to F8 which means we are 2/3 of the way there. Accordingly order some temples in the coastal cities and while I am it upgrade some trebs to cannons.

The Americans drop off a three rifles near Thebes and a galleon survivesa Babylonian caravel attack. (1-0)

Kill four Portugese defenders at Sagres and burn the town (5-0). Then kill a Babylonoian spear at Newscastle and raise some more rubble and reclose the choke. Then kill a Bab spear that had evacuated from Newcastle and shut the door again 6-0. Then finish the American trespassers in the north 9-0

Pillage some fields in north England.

Knock a couple of Portugese longbows off their perch 15-0.

Pillage some more fields at Warwick then move the knight army to a mountain to heal up a little before moving into America.

Kill a rifle at Coventry then lose a cavalryman and hurt an army in a futile attmept to take the town 35-2. There are cannons and cavalry and a knight army waiting to take the town.

The Babylonians had a large stack of units moving south through England which turned around and headed back north when they encountered our advancing cavalry.

A knight army is pillaging its way through America and there is a galleon out mapping the coastline. It may not survive an encounter with the American navy though. Abe has infantry running around in his mountains.

There is a settler on his way to close the Portugese neck, they have been exiled to an island west of their peninsula and are down to a single resourceless town.

We are close to breaking out of the peninsula and starting a rampage through England. With Conventry out of the way and a city on the Portugese neck and the rails built from the landing at Moguntiacum it should go very quickly. England has rifles in defense though so clearing her cities will take cannon support.

I looked at the save. If we MM, we can easily get nationalism in 1, even make some money.

I would rather fill the land south of the choke before moving on, once the Americ ans get beyond the choke with infantry we are in big trouble.

What does the rest think?
