Happy Canada Day

Thanks, cavscout:), though I have to admit I'm not feeling very patriotic right now due to living under a police state for a weekend. At least the Queen's visiting this year, she always makes it better.:king:

Damn it, was too busy yesterday to post here...

and you think it was a police state? Most of those people are spoiled. The cells they had them in were just like any other jail. Though the police did sort of mess up a couple arrests, no-one died and the summit went fine, and that is what matters. Then again, I'm in ETobicoke, so I'm not that close to downtown.

It was more the fact that they built a giant fence in the core, it was all very surreal. I was quite impressed by the police, until that debacle at Queen and Spadina. Even if it all went well (which I agree, it mostly did), there is still something wrong with spending a billion dollars to cordon off the downtown of a major city so our leaders can meet.

Also, happy independence day to you Americans. You're welcome back to the commonwealth anytime you want, you know, as long as you put the Queen on your money.

I heard that the Queen's visit went down very well and she wore a variety of pretty gowns, including yellow, which not many people can manage and which she does pull off very well.

Heh, very late happy Canada Day, I had a nice Fourth of July too of course, been away and catching up now too.
