Hariet Tubman, warmonger

Has anyone managed to make friends with Harriet? It seems she is the biggest warmonger among AI civs, she's always hating on people and constantly in wars, in all games I've seen her in.

That's Napoleon and Confucius for me. She's usually pretty cool with me but she likes to make alliances that get her in trouble.

I was allied with her last game until ideologies and then she declared war on me. Having a bad relationship with you is kinda her thing. She wants to spy and she wants people to declare war ON her for max advantage.

He's usually my bro. At least with me he's rarely in war, but I have seen him war with other AI's.

It might be better like that, her +5 support when attacked bonus is deadly... It's far better if you can have her declare war.

His portrait looks straight up demonic when he's hostile. Makes me laugh.

The one game I was her neighbor she kept trying to bait me into declaring war on her, but since I never gave her what she wanted and because another neighbor was frequently at war with her, she never actually went to war with me--just kept denouncing, spying, and taking aggressive actions.

I find if I keep a large enough military, right around the AI's borders, it tends to keep them in line. I also try to get as many bonuses for War score, and try and keep some Dip Influence around.

Not necessarily around their borders. Size seems enough : 4 to 6 units + commander. Mind it, if you open with 2-3 scouts and she’s the first civ you contacted. A warrior instead of that last scout can delay DoW from AIs.
For Tubman, it depends where she is. If not in range or settle forward an another AI, i don’t care. If I’m it’s target (forward settled). I priorize her for my endeavors and trade routes. It’s enough. She’s not really DoW so much, so
