Has the game finally been released for the rest of the world?

So it's not out yet? I was able to buy the game, but I can't download it. The download shuts itself off after a second, and so I have to resume it manually every 5 mb.

Damn...forgotten about that. In NZ the clocks go forward by an hour this weekend. One less hour playing Civ5 :mad:

Why did that countdown in the store kick off one hour too early?
Two possible explanations:

-Steam-guys don't know about summertime (dayligthsavings? - don't know the exact word, it's when your country turns the clock by one hour in the summer)
-Getting people to leave earlier to not fry the servers (again)

So stay calm, there is nothing wrong currently.

I will play as germany, because I don't know yet what kind if victory I will be going at. And because I am unimaginative.
 
15 minutes to go...

As a reminder for those of you who missed the US launch / haven't preloaded a Steam title before, there's ANOTHER wait whilst all of the Steam files are decrypted - so it'll probably be another 30 minutes after launch-time before you can start a game...

Edit: I'm probably going to start with the Greeks, in the demo I was tearing up the world with their early-game Companion Cavalry, I want to see more on how that plays out.
