I looked up "glomp" in my American Heritage dictionary last night, to check it's etymology, and, to my surprise, it wasn't there! Is glomp even a word?

Several times, but every time I then looked it up in my dad's copy of the Oxford English Dictionary, and it was there (and was a very obscure word).

Edit: So should I vote "yes" or "no"?

I once looked up some word but it wasn't there. I tried Dictionary.com and my home dictionary.

Apparantly "glomp" is not a word in any dictionary... :(

I been told gullible isn't in the dictionary, ^_^.

But So far I found most of the words I looked for,

For "glomp", I don't think it a real word. Just kinda a made up word. Also why were you looking up "glomp" ^_^;;

I think I answer too many questions with quotes.

Oh I just looked up 'etymology' and found it real meaning, I just thought it was something else ^_^;; sorry

Yes, of course. I can't spell at all.

Yes, but I eventually found it if it was a real word.

Fubar is not in the german dictionary.

yes, I looked up the word "beanie" but never found anything :( :mad:

I've always found what I want in english, in French, however I found it rather upsetting that my dictionary didn't have "avocato". And the dictionary in the back of my text book lacks simple words like "bed"
what should I vote? :hmm:

Yes. Especially in French-English dictionnary. Those things are very limited, especially when it's getting into regional slang.

this is so funny! Today I did it.
