Have you ever wondered why Pantheons have icons but Policies do not?

My turn to whine.

Religious beliefs you interact with perhaps once or twice per game, yet they have individualized icons.

Policy cards, the one situation where you have to sift through a huge pile of stuff over and over, all look the same. This one small thing has driven me crazy for years. I'm kind of shocked they didn't attempt to address it in Gathering Storm.

Is there a mod that directly addresses this (short of the mod I myself created that just adds emoji text to the names of the cards to try to make them more understandable?)

Many of the religious beliefs are the same or similar to those from Civ V. So maybe it makes more sense to invest in art for religious beliefs because Firaxis can reuse them (say in Civ VII).

Game development time and money is unfortunately zero-sum. I'd much rather their efforts and budget were spent elsewhere than a hundred icons most people will ignore.

I don't know about icons, But I do find the policy card screen kind of hard to manage my way through and find what I want.

I really don't think this is an area that would have required a huge time investment. Just some basic symbols on the cards. A lot of it could come from stock art, honestly.

The game just needs an easy way to symbolize what each of the cards is so its identifiable at a glance. Policies are probably the most important screen where this is necessary.

I think Policy Cards do have some sort of Icon recognition, as far as I know, you need to establish Icons for said Cards in order for them to appear correctly in I believe the Civic Trees.
