Health problems in Final Frontier!? How to handle!?

I played around a bit with Prince-Difficulty th efinal frontier mod. It looks amazing, but I have one big problem with it: health!

The Data:

- maximum size of a star system is 6 times 4 (means 6 size 3 planets with habitation systems) --> 24

you get health by:
- Water and oxygen, 3 each makes 6
- you are lucky and get 'Survivalism' (which is more or less impossible, if not playing Pritchard... :gripe: ), so you can build 6 Survival-Domes --> another 6 health
- 6 Reycling-Systems: 6 health
- near end game there's a tech giving you another 2 health

This sums up to 20 MAX! And I repeat: you NEED the survivalism-value in your starsystem! If you don't get it, you lose another 6 health --> 14 MAX!

On the other hand, building 6 factories and Industrial Plants gives you 12 UNhealthyness!

Together with the 4 Health you get for playing prince, this means worst case (no survivalism):

MaxPop at 6! When playing at maximum difficulty: MaxSize 2? Playing at maximum difficulty with Alvarez (getting a 2health-MALUS): Size ZERO??????? Helloho!?

Or did I miss something improtant!?

You're not missing anything, although I think that deity starts you with 4 health, so that's not so bad. You're just not supposed to have huge populations, or 6 factories in a system, the game should be over before you get that. On the other hand, a system can still work and grow when it is unhealthy. Each population only uses one food per turn, so if you build the farms you can keep growing even when unhealthy.
 
The food output is so high that I stopped building health buildings at all. I still end up with maxed out systems, even after building alot of habitation systems.
 
yep, I calculated a bit, but when it is true, that 1 pop needs only 1 food (can't check, not at home), and as there are no random events like plague etc. there is no problem maxing systems in spite of big health mali.

The biggest system I encountered was a 7x4(incl. Hab.Sys)-system. Can it get bigger? as you habe a max of 3 planets per influence level, can you get 9?

You need a food surplus of 18 only in order to max this system out. And if only 1 food = 1 pop, there's no prob at all. Just don't like that green face... makes me feel incomplete...
 
The number of planets is limited to 7 per system. A simple value change in python can increase this to 8. There are only 8 orbits so it would require a major rewrite to go beyond this.
