I found some messages in my father's study showing you had more knowledge of the plot against Lord Lucien's life than you were letting on. It was being perpetrated by Ishton's spymaster. Yet, you did not tell Lord Lucien of this until you were practically held at swordpoint, and you avowed your own innocence. The only reason you did not tell him sooner was because Isthon "is a good DMZ between our alliances," even though they are "vermin."
Why would you want a publicly neutral, but privately scheming, area in such an important region if you did not plan to claim power for yourself? The only alternative is you are grossly incompetent and negligent. Either way, you and Isthon are the only evils I see, as well as anyone who stands with them.
Everyone knows you wanted to become regent before you ignored politics for half the year. Faulhammer even publicly declared support just prior to the tourney.
Titles without meaning... What does being a regent gives a person that a regular house lord doesn't have? Apparently a tendency to do evil... I hope the new regent claimant isn't going to be afflicted as well...
Lord Meph, I wish to ask you a question and please answer directly: do you want a unified Kingdom or its dissolution into smaller independent Kingdoms?
The Kingdom can remain unified only if there is a strong central government which shall mediate disputes between Houses and ensure that there is peace. Why do you think that the Kingdom has been united for so many years? Because there was a strong central government, led by God, who ensured that there was peace and stability. Disputes between Houses were resolved by him.
Ever since his death and the lack of a central government, there was no one with the legitimacy to solve disputes and that led to war. Since there was no central government, there was no one to condemn the aggressive wars of the Grand Alliance and brute force has now become the only way to ensure peace.
It is impossible to maintain peace without a Regent. Let me ask you, Lord Meph: how will disputes be solved after the Grand Alliance is defeated? Who will have the legitimacy to be an arbiter? Or do you believe that Lucien is the cause of the wars and once he is defeated suddenly there will be peace and no disputes at all? Lucien is an effect of the problem, which is the lack of central government, and not the cause of the problem. If there is no central government, tyrants like him will arise again.
Remember the ancient times before God unified the Kingdom? There were constant wars between the Kingdoms. God unified them and established a central government, thus achieving peace. Do you condemn God as evil for forcing the Kingdoms to submit to a central government? So a central government is needed.
Unless of course you do not believe in a unified Kingdom. That is fine by me. If you believe that each Lord should be de facto an independent ruler of his House and that there should be no central government, why not formally dissolve the Kingdom and establish smaller independent Kingdoms? It would far more ensure stability than accepting your proposal of having the facade of unity while the Kingdom is divided into de facto independent countries and would also allow for a kind of peace.
You will have to decide which one you want: Unity or Division? Do not attempt to claim to support unity while rejecting any attempt at central government, for it is mere hypocrisy.
PS: If I had evil intentions, I would not have made you Grand General of the Kingdom's armed forces before I was sure if you were in support of me or not. Regency is not what causes wars, lack of government and anarchy is. If God knew that you hate the idea of a central government and prefer the anarchy that existed before He unified the Kingdom, how would He feel about you?
PS2: Whatever your reply to my question is, keep in mind that we need to cooperate if we are to defeat the Grand Alliance, so do not cause needless disputes while the enemy is at the gates.

Great Houses’ War with the Black Breath Continues
As the Great Houses war with one another, so to do they try to combat the spread of the Black Breath, to various degrees of failure and success. The Holy Church, along with Houses Polud and Koriates, have been successful in limiting the spread of the plague through brutal means of killing everyone that shows signs of the disease. Of course, at the earliest stages the Black Breath appears to just be a bad cough, so many cases of the common cold have been prescribed steel and fire. Unfortunately, quarantines and death camps have only worked when military forces are available, and as the war rages through the land, the disease finds its way through the lines, with the conquering of Tsuk and Sanah by House Taran allowing the plague to spread along a new path. While it has been contained in Myriam Peak, there have been individual cases reported in Owary and Koriates, as well as widespread infections breaking out in Veniera. The worst affected area on the continent continues to be Taran lands, and through deliberate exposure, it has spread almost completely throughout northern Thuria, and is making its way into Thustran land.
The southern infection has also continued to spread, though at a less rapid pace as the northern breakout. To the south it has reached as far as Ironhold and Ostra harad, while to the west it has snuck into Oristhia, Eyhant and Toolei. The body count in the south remains less than the north, thanks to the actual battles of the war in the south being fairly far away from the outbreak, allowing for authorities to better control the sick without being distracted.

The North
House of Koriates Continues Pushing Into House Isaakios Despite Heavy Losses Veniera, House Isaakios
The House Koriates once again launched a twin advance into Isaakios lands, with its main Winds of the North army moving into Veniera while the new, smaller Scout Army swung around into Nicosia. The Scout Army was able to enter Nicosia without much trouble, but was only able to do so thanks to the sacrifice of the Winds of the North. When the larger army entered Veniera, they found that House Isaakios had drawn together a massive number of regular and mercenary troops. The ensuing battle was short and brutal, resulting in the complete destruction of the Koriates army. The Scout Army, as well as the Koriates’ heartland, lays open to the Isaakios Royal Army, unless Isaakios buckles under the cost of its massive mercenary compliment first.

Three Pronged ‘Thurian Offensive’ Launched by Northern Summer Pact Houses Stillharbour, House Taran
Lady Nichola Taran engineered and launched a massive, three-pronged offensive this autumn, launching Taran, Thustran and True Church armies at Koriates, Polud and United Church forces. Initially hoping to catch the Grand Alliance off guard, Summer Pact armies advanced into Sanah, Myriam Peak and Tsuk, bu they were soon faced with a large Grand Alliance defensive force pouring out of Myriam Peak.
The northernmost Summer Pact force, made up of the Taran Riders, rode hard into Sanah, hoping to crush the Winds of the North as they took the province. The Winds of the North had already advanced north on Isaakios though, where they were handily destroyed, but in their place the Koriates House Guard swept in from Myriam’s peak to defend Sanah. The House Guard was a small infantry force, but Sanah was heavily fortified and the Guard headed by veteran troops. The Koriaties fought fiercely against the mercenary horsemen, causing massive casualties before they were rode down. The Taran Riders occupied the province, but lost over three quarters of their mercenary compliment.
A small infantry detachment, the Myriam Expedition, was detached from the main Taran infantry army and sent to scale the slopes of Mount Myriam, hoping to quickly and quietly capture the province while the rest of the Alliance forces were tied up elsewhere. While Polud and Koriates forces were indeed busy in Sanah and Tsuk, Matriarch Patricia’s Heaven’s Flame was still garrisoned on the Mount, and proceeded to utterly slaughter the Expedition.
The largest Summer Pact assault, comprised of the Taran Legion, Sword of Lightning and Legion of the Faith, advanced into Tsuk, coming face to face with the Polud Swellswords. The Summer Pact troops heavily outnumbered the Swellswords, but thanks to solid fortifications and morale, the Swellswords inflicted heavy casualties before being forced to retreat back to Myriam Peak.
By the season’s end, the Thurian Offensive was complete, and considered a general success for the Summer Pact, gaining control of both Sanah and Tsuk while inflicting substantial damage on Alliance forces. On the other hand, the Summer Pact armies also suffered heavy losses, and now risk overextending themselves across the widened front.

Polud Troops Once Again Deflected in the Second Battle of Davensport Davensport, House Lamere
Lead by the new heir to House Polud, Lord William Polud, the massive infantry force of the Hell’s Halberdiers once again pushed into the heavily fortified jaws of Davensport. While the army had been heavily reinforced with tens of thousands of light infantry, the defending Lamere Guard and Continental Army were still large and diverse forces also recently bolstered with new infantry recruits and mercenary horsemen. William’s infantry advanced through the woods of Davensport, slowed by line after line of defensive positions. Facing an opponent with nearly equal strength in a heavily fortified position, William was once again forced into a fighting retreat as the Lamere Guard horsemen harassed them all the way back to the border. Word of the stubborn last hold of House Lamere sticking into the side of Polud has spread far and wide, but few doubt that Lamere will eventually fall to the surrounding Grand Alliance powers if it cannot be relieved soon.

A ship of ex-pirates has once again readied themselves for battle, but instead of raising the blacks they have taken on the Isaakios banners and joined their vessel to the Heavenly Fleet. They are hardened sailors, and have spent more of their lives at sea than on land. Their ship, the Creusa, is huge, and was one of the largest in the Isaakios merchants’ fleet. Now, it has been converted once again into a ship of war, ready to conquer the seas, or at least stay above water until the House can’t afford to keep it afloat.

The Patriarch and the Matriarch have also found assist amongst the Great Houses, with House Taran supplying Patriarch Mathias with funds and access to workshops and mines. The Manless North, and the Choir of the Orchards Koriates, House of Koriates
Villages, towns and cities in Koriates lands are nearly empty of adult men, and the same is rapidly happening with adult women as well, as all able bodies are dragged into the war, fall in the streets to the Black Breath, or are called to the lake to starve. Farms are untilled, mines empty, and workshops silent. The screams and clash of battle echo in the east, the retching of the dying plague the south, and to the north a howling choir screeches day and night amid the growing orchards. The twisted trees have continued to spread throughout Kumar and Kilmar, the trees now appearing overnight in the middle of villages and towns, breaking through cobbled streets and twisting through walls, their sweet and seemingly constantly ripe fruit has become the base food in the north, with the fields unmanned and trade slowing. A wind is blowing ceaselessly from Lake Celestis, and it howls as it rushes between the branches covering the wide northern plains. As disciples continue to congregate and die on the lake’s shores, the ring of bodies hardens, and from the corpses grow branches, creeping through hollow eyes and gaping mouths or tearing through frozen flesh. But not all the disciples die. Consuming the fruit growing from their fallen brothers and sisters, they stand on the crowded shores, their artistry turned to song, as they join the Choir of the Orchards.

House Isthon Falls to Arimathea and Toullies Troops Sthulhein, House Arimathea
The unceremonious end to House Isthon came as the three thousand last veteran soldiers in the Farmer’s Brigade were slaughtered to the last man by the over seventy thousand strong Uplland Clansmen. As the Arimathea soldiers pillaged Sthulhein, the Toullies Lion’s Pride marched into Eyhant unobstructed and sacked the province. The great Isthon treasury that the Summer Pact had been counting on to bankroll them, was thoroughly looted by Isthon deserters, fleeing nobles, bandits, and finally Arimathea and Toullies soldiers. In the end, only a comparatively small amount of gold made it back to the Great Houses, with Toullies in particular seeing most of the loot disappearing amongst the increasingly disloyal soldiery.
The last bastion of House Isthon, the inconspicuously named Stalk Fleet, scourge of Lake Dovida, pushed out of Sthulhein harbour before it could be captured, and have vowed a life piracy until Ishton banners once again hang over Sthulhein.

Riots Rage Across Lion Island Toullies, House Toullies
House de Toullies was struck by massive upheaval, as a previously unknown simmering rage came boiling to the surface throughout the Lion Island provinces. What initially appeared to be more routine protests rapidly grew into violent riots, surprising and overwhelming guards and officials. House lords tried to calm the rioters with news that they were seriously handling all those entering the island, assuring them that no cases of the Black Breath had been found in Toullies land. As the riots grew and town began to burn, it became clear that the riots were about more than the anti-trade movement. Among the rioters were not only commoners, but also merchants, clergy, guards and military, and even some lesser nobles. The organised nature of the riots meant that it must have been preplanned in some way, and after the initial breakout it simply grew in ferocity as more and more crowds joined in. They were fueled on all manner of allegations and grievances, with commoners snarling that the Regent was going to bring the Black Breath back to Lion Island from his military adventures, merchants blaming the House for the ever growing embargoes starving their enterprises, clergy bleating that Lucius was a servant of witches and devils, and lesser nobles snarling that Toullies was throwing away their own glory for the sake of the Alliance. Unable to quell the anger and demands, guards and the military resorted to violence, dispersing rioters with sword and spear. As the season came to a close, local guards and the Lion Guard were still in a frenzy, having to race from town to town stomping down on riots as they broke out. Worse yet, there is a growing fear that dissent has spread to the military and into the main body of the nobility. The Lion Guard’s officers prepare for an armed and organised uprising, but at the same time are eyeing each other, wondering if they will end up facing one another.

@christos20, erez87 - the unified orders unfortunately failed to work due to lack of orders from some, and contradictory orders from others. I used whatever local resources you had available to fill as much of the gaps as possible.
@Zappericus - Iskariota will be NPCd if you do not get in orders this turn.
Rule Changes
- Mobs have been added. Mobs are, well, mobs, peasants forced into military service without any training or equipment. They are undisciplined, unequipped, likely to rout at the first sign of losing, and are wont to loot their own lands as much as their enemies, but they require no EP or IC. Instead, while they still use MP, they are bought and maintained with LG, with 5 mobs costing 1 LG. Otherwise, they work the same as regular units, just worse. See the rules for stats and pricing.
General
And there we are. Hats off to House Isthon and inthesomeday, thank you for playing. As always, check for the inevitable mistakes and let me know when you find them. Like last time, I want to keep this thing flying along, so Im setting orders to be due by Monday, August 8th. Check my sig for the countdown. If enough people cannot make the deadline, I can extend it, but lets try to hustle if possible.
