Hello,
When you see horses, cows etc. on the map, there is a way to use them as a resource right?
--when you right click on 'em it gives info regarding food, shield etc,
how do you use the horses, cows as a resource?
I tried to mine the particular square with a worker, but the cow/horse remains
--Also, how do you setup war pacts with other civs? When you go to the foreign advisor screen, and click on the check boxes, e.g. peace treaty, right of passage etc -> is that it? or do you have to do more than that to establish a good relationship,
--Thanks

Ok, horses and cows serve two totally different purposes. Cows (bonus resource) add more food/shield production if you have a citizen working that square, instead of a regular grassland square. Road does not have to be connected to a cow. Never place a city directly on a cow, you won't get the bonus from it, while you are still in despositism. Horses (strategic resource) allow you to build chariots, horsemen, knights, etc. if you have the techs for them of course. You must have a road connected from your cities to the horse, and the horse must be in your territory. You can build directly on a horse, so you won't need to connect a road from the horse to your city, but that city would need to be connected to your capital. Or you could build a colony on the horse, but I don't recommend it, put a city there instead.

Mutual Protection Pacts become available when you get the tech Nationalism. Right of Passage allows you to travel through each other's territory.

Jose, it is good that people come in here and ask questions. Try not to make them feel like idiots for doing so. There are those that may just want a sense of community, our poking fun at them serves no purpose.
Sorry if this is more of an off topic post, I just hate to see 'snobbery'.

it wasnt a snobbery i was just giving him an advice to play the game, he could have learned that playing the whole game, thats something basic, everyone learns that after playing the first time... sorry if i was offensive... but i have the right to give my opinion too.

Well if he's not sure how things work, maybe he has trouble playing the game. So does the fact that I've never completed a game in the 4 months I've been playing it mean I don't have the right to ask someone a question here? Get a life!! :rocket2:

It would be better to think before you slam someone needlessly.
