Help? Conquests won't re-install?

My conquests wasn't working so i decided to delete and reinstall, however when it started putting the files it broke down at 18% Smoke-Jaguar_middle_fwrd.flc and has the error with data2.cab from. The error is a data error (cyclic redundancy check).

It done this a number of times everytime i try after it just closes and stops installing. Any help, I must play conquests again, it can't die now.

I'm sure someone can give you some help here better than I. But this is my only suggestion:

Try uninstalling C3C and Civ3, make sure you delete ALL folders and files that have to do with C3C and Civ3 in general. Re-Boot. Re-install everything again.

Either that or a bad CD, maybe you need a replacement from Atari??

I believe you should strongly consider your CD is damage. because of the "cyclic redundancy check"

Try follow the Ben E Gas advice... Maybe you have a chance...

Have you more than one CD Drive.

Sometimes marginal CD's will be read better on another drive. I had one brand new CD that would be read every time be the CD-RW drive, but would consistantly be mis-read by the 48X regular CD.

Not sure if it is because the CD-RW was reading slower or had a stronger laser, what ever, I found that the CD-RW read better.
