Help me please

hi,
I hope somone can help, I bought civ4 in december and I can play it no probs at all untill 15mins into the game it crashes causing the mouse to stick to the left hand side of the screen.

It also locks out the keyboard so the only thing I can do is to reboot my pc.

system p4 3ghz 760mb ram 256 geforce 6600.

Have you got brand new drivers for your graphics card? and is civ up-to-date?

When it crashes does CTRL+ALT+DEL work?
Also do you have a system temperature program? if not, if you could open "display" in control pannel. When it opens click "settings" then "advanced" on the top right tab it should says your graphics card name, click this. Then scroll down the list until you get to temperature... if your graphics is over 70oc this could be the problem.

HOWever, you say it happens in the first 15 min.... please let me know the above so i can think of some more ideas...

Those are classic V1 out of the box errors. Load Patch V1.52, its a must have patch that sorted a large number of issues.

If you still have problems please post your Dxdiag, together with any post V1.52 symptoms using the 'go advanced ' button below

I have up to date drivers on my pc also have patch 1.52 and still no difference.

I can't get any sort of temp reading for my gpu but i only bought new 3 weeks ago as the game was running slow so i used as a excuse to by the 256mb geforce 6600 with out the wife complaining.
