Dear everyone,

as many people might have noticed, we didn't have the most coverage of interesting items on our main page https://www.civfanatics.com/ and on Twitter https://twitter.com/civfanatics .
We want to change this dramatically, and ask everyone to help us with interesting items.
We will promote anything what is relevant to Civ, but would preferable like it if it was also relevant for the forum. This includes
- new mod releases
- Let's Play's
- The Polycast (although DanQ is already doing a good job)
- Interesting new strategy articles
... etc.

These things do not have to be something major or new.
e.g. we will be putting on our Twitter acount the Brickheadz https://forums.civfanatics.com/media/albums/lego-civ-6-leader-brickheadz.214/ by @Scaramanga , or we have been doing some work on our Civ2 database where @Blake00 has been uploading lots of old scenarios, which will also be highlighted.

In addition, we want to cover anything in any other way relevant for Civ fans. Besides the Civilization games themself, this includes:
- Very related games (e.g. Old World or HumanKind)
- General 4X game coverage (e.g. TotalWar)
- Interesting new books or TV shows (e.g. "How to become a Tyrant" on Netflix)
- Anything related to current events (see current main page item about the Venus flyby and Civ maps)
- Other things potentially of interest (e.g. recent new items on the UNESCO world heritage list; yes, a poor replacement for proper wonders, but still)

If you stumbe upon anything, what you think is interesting, please help us:
- Post about it in this thread here
- PM me https://forums.civfanatics.com/conversations/add?to=The_J
- Report the thread, saying it should deserve coverage
- Contact us on the CFC Twitter account

We aim for a tweet/new main page item at best once per day, at least once every week.
Please help us to promote CFC and the works of all the users here :)!

Would you be interested in history-related YT videos?

Would you be interested in history-related YT videos?

mmmhhh... that depends on if you can justify why this specific video is interesting. There are probably a ton of history related YT videos out there, so why that one?
If we reach as CFC e.g. 2040, and there is a video "600 years of printing press", then this is interesting in regards to civ and current events. If there is no specific occasion, then it gets harder to justify.
(also depends a bit on what our overall coverage and activity is; if you find something nice, PM me, we can discuss :) )

A Narrative Playthrough series where somebody plays Civilization 6 but there's a full-on story behind it. Something like what Officially Devin does.

Just wondering. I have a few favorite history channels, and though I realize that Dr. Kat's videos on Plantagenet/Tudor history (she is a real historian, and we've exchanged emails since I asked her if she could recommend any history books to me that dealt specifically with the 11th century, as that's the timeframe of the novel I've been working on for close to 3 years...) wouldn't be what you're looking for, there are other channels and documentaries that might be of general interest to a Civ gamer. I've run across a couple of documentary channels as well.

Oh, but what you should really promote is sulla's civ4 ai survivor series: https://www.twitch.tv/lcsullla
It has the finals tomorrow!

I have issues figuring out what "tomorrow" is in this case (date, time, timezone, and is there a description somewhere?).
I'd put it on, in case we're not too late yet.

In the meantime I've put on our current Civ4 and Civ6 GOTM, and the next Civ5 when it will come.

Your Civ2 let's play I'll also put on in the coming days, since I'm sure these don't happen too often anymore :).

There is a CFC member who posts regularly Civ4(BTS) Let's Play games on Youtube. His forum username is @Henrik75 . His videos are educational, fun, and humorous. But I don't know if he agrees to put his new videos on CFC's main page and twitter.

Here is one of his thread at CFC: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/deity-gilgamesh-fun-times.668014/
You'll find his Youtube channel in his signature and profile page. There were other people who posted Let's Play videos, but many of them stopped posting for a while. Henrik75 is still very active; yesterday he posted a new Civ4 video playing as Victoria on Deity.

If @ Henrik75 's Let's Play series interest you, you may wish to contact him through forum PM or leave a comment in his YT page to see if he wants his videos to be promoted by CFC.

With best regards.

Well I did recently update the Altera Centauri here at CFC - is that newsworthy?

https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...enario-repository.452400/page-6#post-16126947

And I also did point to this CFC thread in the private FB forum for Alpha Centauri players, so maybe that drummed up some business for you as well.

D

I will put that up in the coming days too, yes :).

EDIT: So on the list for the coming week (unless other things are more "urgent"; should be once per day):
- AC mod update
- Civ2 mod update
- Civ2 let's play
- the brickheadz
- BtS playthrough

Thank you for the shoutout for PolyCast :); to clarify, it and its sibling podcasts have been owned and operated by @CanusAlbinus since 2019. (My podcast focus these days is my dramedy series.)

Hi,

On my channel I have a full CIV 2 let's play showing the strategy for fast conquest win on deity, in case it's relevant:

I'm currently starting a new series of CIV 6 edited videos adding some comedy/story telling to the games. The first episode is here:

Not sure if this is relevant to the stuff you want to mention, leaving it here anyway, just in case.
