That was a crater at the bottom? I'm not sure I ever saw one (except Ngorongo Crater) in all the games I played...

A giant map only spawns several of this feature, quite rare.

Edit: I was playing the game and drinking my homemade wine when I suddenly stopped playing, just staring, at the atrocity I'd seen a thousand times before. before I knew it I had quit the game and was constructing a new model in blender. 20 minutes later the model and texture was finished and I thought, what the hell happened and uploaded it here.
 
If somebody think this new crater isn't better than the old, I will eat my finest hat. ^^

DH, iirc, put the old one in because he had nothing at that time that was better. C2C was lacking some seriously talented graphics modders such as your self and Sparth back then. Hydro was still working on his graphic abilities too.

Thanks, it was basically the same mesh as used by the peaks, how fireaxis got the peaks as they are with that mesh beats me. ^^.


Edit: what should I improve next? I have mammoth units in my queue but other than that I'm blanc. suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit2: @DH: where do you get all the new animal models from, do you make them? Perhaps my next quest should be to animate all your animals....

Your hat is quite safe from being eaten.;)

size can be adjusted in the XML (<iScale>) ;p

If you don't agree on the position (upper-right corner) I can change this right away to middle or wherever. I thought it would blend better with units if at the side.

Not being in the center of the tile is a good thing. IMO

All the new animals come via Hydro from the Zoo series, I think. I still have a few to add including the Columbian Mammoth.

Animating them would be nice and fixing the Sabretooth so that it looks right would be nice also.

Alternately you could make some units to flesh out the mega fauna lines ie deer and giraffe. They should have more units to fill in their light cavalry aspect.

Animation would be fantastic, as I don't like the non animated stuff, again this would be GREAT!!!
 
Animating them would be nice and fixing the Sabretooth so that it looks right would be nice also.

I think I will make two sabrethooth variants to begin with then.

It is perhaps the largest known felid, with a body mass range of 220 to 400 kg. It stood at a shoulder height of 120 cm. They can share animation at least (including bengal tiger), but should they keep their current panther animations or be reanimated?

The animations seem OK to me. The panther animation is the default for all new animals by everyone as far as I can see.

Looks like I will need to make another unit. The only problem is their early extinction date. It is before the start date of the game. We get away with mammoths because there is evidence of habitation with humans and they finally went extinct around 6,000 years ago.

I thought the start date of the game was 50,000 BC. Well before 10,000 BC. :mischief:

SO, I increased volume for one of these techs quotes - Micolith.
Please check it now.
I can increase even more but this add also some distortion and noise to the audio.
Alternatively I can re-record this quote using speach synthetiser but his voice voice sounds artificial and players dont like it.
You can check this synthetiser in (for example) Architecture tech quote.

Yea, this tech is using quote from another technology. We need completly new text for this tech and then I record audio using new quote.

As for this audio.log I cant help with this problems because I dont how audio system works in Civ4. For a first glance everything is ok (missing files from log are in place) but sill these errors apear in log :/
 
Here are a few more, name on pic what is happening??

Combat Sports - I know that sound bad this audio qoute but I recorded synthetised voice quote for this tech and then I got complains from author of this recording about not informing him about removing his work from mod. Dont remember his nick, sorry.

Diplomacy and Geocentrims are new techs added recently to the mod. Dunno but I think Diplomacy need new text quote.
