High Council troubles

Ok, I'm back. I can't talk to the High Council. Ever. Even if they invite me, and I accept. I just click "Attend" and the screen goes away and I continue with my game. What's with this? I need empirical help!

That happens if you have a ripped copy.

Ok, fair enough, but I can justify it. They don't sell this game ANYWHERE in my country (Not American, you see), and I don't have a credit card, or any means of ordering over the internet save the graces of my parents. And even then, not happening. My parents are stingy. Not that you guys give a damn about my personal life or anything.

First off why in gods' names would you want that option on? They may be funny the first couple of times but after that... Anyway all you need to do is create a subfolder in the civ2 directory called kings and put the videos in there I believe

Even if you do everything as you should, this might happen. If you play without the cd, which you can with civ 2.42, you will get invited, but will not be able to attend.
