Storm: The "Playboy Chick" is a representative of the Viera, a race found in Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced and FF XII..... Although my Viera Sniper is on the whole (from what I've seen of Viera in the games) wearing too much clothing, but I don't do half-naked units.... That's right, no chain maile bikinis or anything like that from me. Yuffie, with her short-shorts and bare midriff is about as close as you'll get to naked with any of my units..... I'd estimate that the three (soon to be 4) female units I've released thus far have, in total, more clothing than all the other female units posted on this board put together.

Anyways, the Attack animation is about 87% complete, and I'll get started on the death animation as soon as it is done.
 
Okay, got the Ranger Chick done.... Next up is the Viera Sniper, and I'm in the middle of converting the Ranger's files into the Viera.... I've got the Fortify/Victory, Attack and death Done thus far. Need to do the Default, Fidget and Run yet... Once I'm done changing all the clothing figures and textures, I'll start rendering. Once the Viera Sniper is done, I'll go right to the Esperling (Terra from FF VI), since I already got the Fortify and Victory animations done. After that, I'm doing the X-Cannon for Shinra From FF VII.... although I'll be altering the original design a bit by adding tracks in place of the ridiculous looking feet. Basically, it will replace the Mobile Artillery, and have increased (and lethal) bombardment as well as ZOC, and maybe +1 range. After that, I'll see about doing the Chocobo Knight, since that unit is all set up and ready to animate, followed by any of the three on the bottom row of the preview pic. I may start the Hilda Garde III a bit sooner than it is shown, since I visited my brother in Pittsburg, and he showed me some nifty modeling tools in 3DS Max, that interestingly enough are also in OpenFX and have nearly identical functions.... Basically, I'm planning on building the Gas-shell and most of its associated parts in BRYCE, then I'll make the Hull and wierd-shaped fins separately in OpenFX and import them into Bryce for final Texturing and assembly into the airship proper.... Since the Hilda Garde III's hull was made from the ALexandrian ship, Blue Narcissus, it will have a cannon attack (with huge swivelling mortar-type cannons)....

Well, I'll keep the updates coming as I go. I'm actually getting to the point that I'm almost confident of my modelling skills to the point that I'm actually considering maybe doing a unit lottery in the fairly near future (like after I get the top row of my list done at the soonest).
 
Yes I do do real units..... That 15th century Japanese noblewoman with the Naginata for one, and the Gatling gun and Kunoichi I did were also historically accurate. It all depends on what is requested and what I've got scheduled. The reason I'm doing so many FF units is that the FF mod desperately needs them, and almost all of the other unit creators ran to Civ IV like a herd of lemmings. I will consider real units though. As a matter of fact, here's a project for the somewhat distant future that Tank Guy 3 requested, essentially a male version of my FF female ranger that would work as a replacement for Firaxis' longbowman..... Believe it or not, all I did was change a few morphs in the base figure and change the clothing figures to get this:
 
that is SWEEEEET. as soon as you release that FF mod, you will be officially a god to me.
 
Chill guys, I still gotta render all these suckers..... Also, I've finally got around to fixing the camera, lighting and some of the textures for the first two poser units I did (Yuffie and Mithra Ninja), and will be re-rendering them. I've got the Viera Sniper about halfway finished (rendered the default, fidget, run and fortify animations), and hopefully will be completely finished with this unit tomorrow.
 
Viera's finished and posted now (soon to be fully implemented in the FF mod). Next up is the Esperiling (Terra).... I already had the fortify and victory animations done (Terra transforming between Esper and human forms), and now I've got all of her human form animations done (default, fidget and run), and will be working on the Esper form animations soon (attack A, B, C and Death).

Also note: most likely next Monday, I'll be running my FIRST EVER UNIT LOTTERY. I'll leave it open for two weeks, the reasons being (A) with the somewhat reduced traffic around here it will give more opportunity for people to request units, and (B) hopefully it will give me enough time to finish off most of the units I've got listed in the preview in the first post.

It`s sort of the ultimate "hello" for us Fighters (berserkers fight too ;)), spreading our great leader`s idea across the world.

These two posts (Weasel`s and mine) give me a huge feeling of Deja vu... Did we already post something like this? Or ...the Agents are near! Run!
 
Umm to answer questions about the lottery, I'm going random, and using the same site that Kinboat did..... However, one change to the rules is that if the number lands on spam (i.e. a post without an actual unit request), then I run the random number generator again until I get a valid request. I don't want the fiasco that happened with KB's last lottery, and I want to keep this fun. One thing to keep in mind is that I'm pretty much limited to foot and mechanical units.... I can do either very early (pre-middle ages) or post 16th century horse units, but not medieval ones since I don't have any horse armor in my library of props and such.

Spacer: if you're asking about the requests that I've taken thus far (Steam Tank, Gatling Gun, Tesla Tank, Kunoichi, and Naginata Onna), Ive chosen them based on how interesting they were to me and how easily I could do them.... For insance, half of the gatling gun I'd already made for the Land Battleship, and a billion people wanted it, so I decided to do it. The Japanese units I made because Japanese history is a big hobby for me, and I'd love to see Shiro's Sengoku scenario completed (plus I have a fantasy modification planned for said scenario based on a certain popular Japanese manga/anime based on that particular period). The Steam tank I did because all I had to do was modify the GrossPanzer and I also was hoping that it would get the Steampunk mod going again.
