Historical colours

can you show the coluors of all civilization?

Install the modmodmod and see it your self :D. it is easier than taking 32 photos, uploading and posting. Moreover, deinstallation is really easy and affects nothing.

Some screenshots of the game map while most civs are alive would already help I guess.

Thanx for the feedback :D. The problem with Congo and Portugal is that both used white. Don't even count Japan. One solution is giving Congo a more pinkish color or giving Portugal light light blue. I will think what's better.

To be honest I like khmer's colour. I may revert Khmer back to their green and make yellow their secondary colour, because yellow is already given to China.

If you're making Khmer green again, please make it not as green as it was because it's kinda hard to distinguish it from the jungles around. A green that is lighter than your Mughals but less lighter than Ethiopia would do I think.

I think it's better if you switch the primary and secondary color of Portugal.

1. In Europe there's no light blue or even anything whitish, since Prussia is now elegantly black.
2. In Goa, India there's no light blue since that Tamil is Brown now and Seljuk is long dead by the time Portugal TC event
3. There's no Blue in Brazil, and Brazil itself is Green
4. Japan and Portugal will probably interact often too in the WW2 era with Cantao and Malaca within Japan's reach. Japan should stay white.
5. This solve the Kongo - Portugal issue I mentioned.
6. iirc SoI's Portugal is also Light Blue and it works well.

New update:
*Normalised Iran/Persia flags.
*Portugal is now very light blue
*Moors are vermillion red.

I didn't change khmer. Green/yellow is too similar with Mughals, yellow is already given to China.

How about one of the following colors:

Safety Yellow RGB: (238, 210, 2)
Cyber Yellow RGB: (255, 211, 0)
Fern RGB: (113, 188, 120)
Light Green RGB: (144, 238, 144)
Mint Green RGB: (150, 250, 150)
Cheladon RGB: (172, 225, 175)

or perhaps this Blue from the Royal flag, since there's no Blue around anymore with Indonesia is now Red and Thai is Purple.

Mongols and France are blue. However, they won't share borders. I'll wait to see Leoreth's decision.

Sorry, what do I have to decide?

The khmer color.

New commit:
*Fixed Persian/Iranian red, so that it is pleasant to the eye.
*New contenet: flags (optional).

But how does that impact this mod? I'm confused.

I may like the color you find. I keep colors I find fit, like France and Spain.

New update:
*Tibet is pink
*New flags are activates by default.

So how's the Khmer? ^^
Btw, can you also make colors for the Golden Horde, Australia etc if they ever added to the game? So it's more like:

Step 1: Detect if Australia civ is in-game
Step 2: Change Australia color according to Historical Colours modmodmod if necessary

You could even support any already existing civilization modmod by defining whatever color tag they are using for their civilization.

Version 2.0 released (only for colours, not flags)

Most important change: removabilistic compatibility. You can install it and unistall it in the same game.

Version 2.1 released. Adjusted the hues of colours.

Why did you make Byzantium Orange Red instead of purple? The color purple was highly important to the medieval Romans, see Theodora telling Justinian she would rather die in her purple than flee from the Nika Revolt, and also the titling of emperors as Porphyrogenitos, born in the purple, as a mark of honor.

Purple was never used in banners and flag. The byzantine banners and flags were the roman ones: Red and yellow.
And porfyra isn't purple, or at least it isn't the blueish purple used. Porfyra is dark red with slight hue of blue.
