I actually also thought, that becoming a Deity Elite Quattromaster at least gets announced in the first post so it can be seen on the frontpage, at least achieving that is hundreds of times more difficult than a standard Deity game. I also don't want to be non-thankful, but the level of the EQM achievement is actually a big thing. Like ot looks now, I'm 1 of 2 players that became EQMs on the update. That doesn't sound too special, I am the 3rd of 8 players that ever achieved it on Deity over almost 10y of CIV though. I find that a little odd, maybe denniz wants to think over changing that in the posts.

Thx again to all other players who supported me and that played CIV themselves. I would have never had enough interest to go through all of that, if it weren't for you.

So it seems that now you can look for another challenge. Don't worry about that the HoF staff didn't open a bottle of champaign for you - they don't normally highlight any change in QM or EQM list. The fight for the QM throne remained unnoticed as well. Anyway I noticed that Wastintime has now the same QM score as I do. I guess it was mainly because of you.

I guess you should just relax after all the hardwork. Are there any Workers Day celebrations in Germany? Here in England people have absolutely no idea about that, but maybe they do in Germany - at least in the Eastern part

Smitsk00 is actually not even a new EQM. An oversight on Denniz's part.

I already have new challenges .

1. My studies
2. The current Major Deity Gauntlet (that one will be really hard)
3. Getting an Ephtalon in BOTM
4. Finish some non-Deity Gauntlets or Challenges to become also QM
5. Chill

And yes, I beat one of the Time Games WastinTime played. If you're equal now, time for you to get back into HoF play .

I had to comment at this specifically, because after having been sad, this really makes me angry:
In GOTM the winnera always get celebrated by a post from a GOTM-Admin. If someone gets an Ephtalon, he gets his own post for that, + a stutue on the GOTM pages.

I've asked about 2 months ago, if the QM + EQM people could also get something special. That post did not even recieve an answer from an admin.

I'm the first Deity Elite QM since WastinTime actually, so HoF waited 3y for someone achieving that again. Out of what was supposed to be a great moment for the HoF, turns into one of the darkest moments of HoF.

If this road is continued, I see no way for HoF surviving, but all that play for HoF now will quit it, either completely, or they'll play GOTM.

This needs to change.

Chasing settler EQM has burnt me out for a while, an extra incentive for finishing might inspire me to get back into it sooner

Thanks It ended up surprisingly close to #1. But then I was a bit fortunate and was able to kill the map with Cavalry.
