HoF on tiny, chieftain.

Hi.

I had now sent 6 games into the submission list for HoF on tiny.
In the first 3 I did use saving and reloading, so here I'm fair with u - these were done with savings and I expect them not to enter the HoF..

Then I decided to go on early conquest on tiny and put my name in the HoF.

Well, I submitted 3 more games now:
finished at 2550BC, 2800BC and 2850BC.
I'm surprised the HoF has place for those, but I exploit..
So because it is new, I will b in it!
Hurray!

BTW, I did these with 3 civs as in the submission, but the HoF has games vs. 2... So, please please decide what should be the standard and.. well.. standardize it!:die:

Aeson clarified the rules yesterday in regards to standardizing the minimum number of opponents. Further details can be seen in the stickied thread.

I did enter the HoF - I now had a game to top the cake with 4972 points with conquest (3 civs) at 2900BC.
That is number 6, and is currently my best, but the HoF is now practically empty! I love to fill empty high score lists..

Don't sweat it too hard, man. Remember, two is a minimum. If your games with 3 qualify, they still get in!

Yes, but it is so easy now to get in and improve the HoF -
I'm now doing games with Idnia and Spain as rivals, and my first was a 3150BC high!
I played civ1,2,3 and also alpha centauri (...and call to power...),
and I certainly know the basics for conquest.

Things I must learn to utilize better at larger games:
palace jump, RPC settings and optimizations, agressive civs rules..

But through my study, I enjoy filling the HoF.
Btw, how long does it take it to be updated?!
I'm sorry for the one that will have to look at all this, but this is only the start of the floodings!

It's usually an average of twice a month, the 12th and 27th.

2 are 5663 score at 3600BC.
1 is a top high score I just did of 5713 at 3650BC!

I don't believe I can top that.
So, I will be number 1, 3 and 4 on the HoF for {tiny , chieftain}!
Now I'm off to {tiny , warlord}, which already got a 3650BC high..

I will stay on this thread to update on this, since warlord and chieftain are almost the same game when it comes to early conquest.

But bware! When I will finish with warlord, I will open a new thread and will come far more serious.

There's been a rule in the past where each player could only have two entries per table, so if that's still in effect you'll likely only have two. I didn't see this rule still listed in the stickied rule thread, but I queried a post about it, so you may want to keep an eye out.

Congratulations! Not only did you make the big board on the Chieftain list you put up 2 scores each on the Warlord, Regent, and Monarch lists as well. The Aztecs have been very busy.

Conquest conquest...
Yes, I also find this both exciting (the HoF) and boring (conquest all the time).

So, I pushed my analytical brain, and tried to find out when I will go out for some milking ...

On tiny (and also probably on small), it's better to conquer for score than to milk.
When (exactly) does it end?

I tried to take some data, and do an excel page on this.
I got a bit stuck with 2 unknown parameters, assuming this is a near linear occurance.

If you want, please look at the attached file, and suggest true values. It will be a great help for all of us trying to beat some HoF in the middle..

If you going to milk and want to seriously challenge the top scores the only option is Huge map, the others, even large, will not suffice.

For example, I would estimate the top milking score you could achieve on Regent from a large map would be ~21-23K, and it would be a struggle to get that.

I think on Large, no conquest could beat the milking..
On standard, it's an open question.
I don't believe anyone knows, but u can guess.

Yes, Large will beat early conquest, but to beat the top scores, it has to be Huge.
