Holographic interface

Wow :wow:

That is mighty impressive, although I think it'll need fine tuning for truely 3D Civ... :D

That reminds me of the Tollan computer terminals they showed in Stargate five years ago... clearly this technology is outdated.

J/k ;) It looks cool.

Once the technology is invented, the amount of time required to drop the price and tweak it out is MUCH faster than people realise.

This thing is awesome looking.

It reminded me of Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within.

I can't imagine it would be too easy on the eyes. Other than cleaning, does this technology have any pros compared to your regular flat screen moniter?

Three words: Interactive Jessica Alba.

That you can't touch?

Are you sick? That would be awful!

I think it would be a cool interface. You could put it in the dash of your car, and turn it on and off as needed.

Awesome. With that I'd definatly have a rotating Death Star as my screensaver.

Did anybody get to the part where the guy played with the picture of the watch.

We're talking interactive here!

I dont think this is actually 3D, so you may end up with a Death circle ;)

That would be good, I hadn't thought of that. Imagine pulling over and having your windscreen turn into a a huge GPS system, or a movie screen!

I share you enthusiasm in exploreing the curves of Jessica Alba in 3D. :groucho:

I know, but in that video they had had a car rotating that kind of looked 3D, a death star done in that way would be cool. Anyway a 3D interface should be the next step.

Then I'll kindly ask that people not get this thread modded.

I've heard that the image we're seeing is caught in the air. So, it requires air to work.

Good thing we live where we do, then.

The image looks rather wavey but it's a good start! The future is now! :D

I think this technology depends on the humidity of the air or something like it.

This, is, like, totally , COOL!

When will i be able to plug this into my PS3 ? ;)
