Nationalism was and still is right-wing, and authoritarians come in both flavors. The Democratic Party of today is much different from the party in the 20s-60s. Left/right being relative terms, if there's a shift in common politics, then the terms will also shift in what they describe.

The Nazis were a far-right authoritarian regime despite having the word "socialist" in their name. They perceived the Soviets to be their biggest enemy by far. There was absolutely nothing "leftist" about them. This is propaganda now being spread by the usual suspects to try to distance themselves from a group which they have so much in common.

Most people back when Margaret Sanger was advocating eugenics also did so as well. It was extremely popular. But she along with the rest of the world finally learned their lesson. Prove that she "supported Hitler and also the KKK in the South", much less that "the left created eugenics".

Back then the Democratic Party was the home of most of the racists and bigots, but it was also the home of most of the "leftists" who did not live in the South for the most part. All that changed in the 60s when the "leftists" and others in the party decided to support equal rights. Nearly all the racists and bigots switched parties after Nixon and Reagan openly supported them and their reprehensible views. Now the Republican Party is the home of the overwhelming majority of the racists and bigots.

I'm stating that communists have no permanent use for nation states (they would die out along with capitalism ). Supposedly the Comintern didn't reach the endgoal yet, so the Soviet Union wasn't completely stripped of its traditional Russian heritage.

I never said Sanger was a KKK member. I said she supported them. There's photos of her speaking at KKK rallies.
