No, chu ko nu only have a may attack twice promotion.
What do you think about tradition opener early on?
No, chu ko nu only have a may attack twice promotion.
Have been playing this style a couple of games now, immortal difficulty. It's very fun actually.
Some questions:
1. In hammer heavy starts with 3+ city I sometimes build oracle while waiting for the final library, finishing honor even more soon... The consequence have led to bad timing and I have not been able to open commerce in when it's time for next SP.
Which one would you choose? I tend to open Patronage in this case.
2. When do you start to conquer and burn cities? In some games with less happiness I find it very uphill not being able to trade for a the entire game and the happiness from commerce/autocracy comes to late...
First thing is first... I want to thank Peddroelm for his time and effort of making these recent LPs along with others he has made in the past. Im not sure if people realize how much time and effort it takes to make these free videos. If they did I do not think they would have one critical word to say. I have made a few in the past and they are a pain to compress and upload. I also want to thank him for sharing another way to play the game. It may not give us the fastest way to win by turn time but it most certainly is a viable option to play and win the game on any level and most maps. I was having fun playing these deity challenges and sharing them with you all. I think after all the negative comments that I read after you play the game and win has left a sour taste in my mouth. It appears it is not good enough to just play and have fun and win, it seems that you have to play and win a certain way to get any type of respect which can really take the fun out of a game that has no impact on real life whatsoever. Also a friend of mine won 450k on the dice tables at the Golden Nugget 2 weeks ago. That has taken alot of my free time away with parties and after borrrowing 100k from him all my time is playing full pay games in the casinos and betting baseball. Don't listen to them Peddroelm your LPs are very educational and entertaining and I hear every word you say just fine and understand alot of your thought process. If people really don't like your commentary they can watch Tommynt's LPs which have no commentary at all! Even better they can make an LP and show us how it is supposed to be done!
Think oracle doesn't mix with this strategy - 3 cities are plenty - just focus on getting the NC ASAP (chop forests// improve work mines // rush buy - get those libraries up in time) .. And rest of the hammers should go monument/units ..
It happens even without oracle, but I guess I just have to time my techs better, entering medieval earlier to avoid dropping a policy in a useless tree..
Played a game with Songhai. Very good start wtih salt etc + was able to hardbuild Petra in my satelite due to nobody else had desert start. Then I and found lake victoria close for a 3d city. Got 3 capitals and spammed units like there was no tomorrow! Tanks built in 2-3 turns + annexed and bought 6 bombers in every city.
Didn't ever want that massacre to end. It was beautiful!![]()
@Peddroelm
Have you tried full honor/commerce/autoc with Keshiks or Camel Archers? Your philosophy inspired me to try out a game with Arabia. Instead of building numerous archers I built/bought six chariots (obviously horses are needed). I chose not to tech education, but to steal it from my neighbor neighbor instead. I didn't finish Chivalry until turn 119, but once I did I was able to upgrade my chariots into highly upgraded Camel Archers. I've cleared out the other three civs on my continent here at turn 169 and haven't lost a unit. It took a while for my economy to finally get rolling, but right now I'm making about 71gpt, which should just keep going up. My science is slow, and I don't have the tech to cross the ocean yet, so I'm kinda stuck at the moment.
Random point: I think its nearly always bad to use caravan to send hammers to a city. The flat hammer bonus is not subject to +% from workshop/factory/whatever. It's better to send food and then have the city work less food tiles and more bonused hammer tiles.
Why go Honor over Liberty/Commerce/Autocracy? The Gold can be made up by pillaging and repairing tiles of razed cities.
- gold discount for upgrading ancient (low hammer cost) army trough the ages
- faster XP gain (faster to reach enabling promotions (range/logistics/etc))
- Pyramids are not guaranteed on deity (pretty decent chance to get but not guaranteed) and without them Honor repair pillaging is not that far behind liberty repair pillaging (gets closer if you can capture pyramids faster)
- don't need to settle that many cities in a honor- domination game - 3 is plenty
Actually trying this out tonight, on continents plus with China I deviated to sailing for the additional trade route is that acceptable? I also got a jungle/mountain start on this one but I had horses for hammers. Sacred Paths smokes through Honor and I barely got to Medieval without having to dip into another branch. Its pretty novel idea. I find that Pyramids are pretty reliable but I understand sometimes you miss it.
Lack of space. He was surrounded and barely had space for 3 cities. Although he probably already wrote off liberty before the game even started. Why go Honor over Liberty/Commerce/Autocracy? The Gold can be made up by pillaging and repairing tiles of razed cities.
