Hi,

Since last week, without any clear notification, hotmail started to send messages from unknown senders into a junkmail folder.

Well, here comes it: I never receive any junk on my hotmail account. I DO want mail from unknown senders simply to go to my regular inbox.
I have no desire to keep up addresses.

So, instead of helping me, hotmail is annoying me.

Anyway to avoid this ridiculous new feature?

Cheers,
Stapel

Well, I just changed the filter (finally found it) from enhanced to low.

It appears that the enhanced filter, filters out mail, sent from unkown senders to a group.

Damn time to check hotmail again then since when I last checked hotmail it said they had upgraded the filtering to enhanced...

Well the only thing in my junk box is a emails from Lisia, bonita, Shirley, Rachel, alyssa, Courtney, and a bunch of other names. Through I think the several are probaly a Virus e mail, since it they have the subject as Re: (no subject). I had to turn my filter to enhanced because of all the spam.

The vast majority of mail in my hotmail is from my former fraternity club from university. We use one e-mail address which automatically redirects the mail to all of us (in my case said hotmail account).

When the original sender is in my account list (only the ones with MSN, not too many) all goes fine, but when it was not, the mail was sent to junk-mail.

I am a bit puzzled by the automatic (and unwanted) change.

I checked hotmail and it had filtered a couple of emails that are basically spam but normally get through so I changed the setting to low in case it will begin to filter other messages that I might occasionally want to read.
