Are there nuke type weapons in this game? I left the green guys alone for most of the game and it turns out they've been doing nothing except spamming these leaf guys.

edit: also tigers

Several ways:

Mind II - Charm Person.

Sun II - Blinding light.

Water III - Water Elemental(s).

A couple of highly promoted longbowmen in a city, on a hill.

A highly promoted recon unit with subdue animal to take care of the tigers.

1 highly promoted high-strength unit with cannibalize.

Edit: Since you're playing as Balseraphs, longbowmen/crossbowmen/marksmen upgraded from freaks with some of the heroic defence, strong, and cannibalize mutations would probably be the easiest way.

A bit OT since it's from Wildmana, but something like this would work (it's a bit silly). :)

You're following OO, so let them retake Bruti and move their army into it, then smash that army with tsunamis every turn. They won't die directly from it but they will lose 3/4ths of their health, then you can just keep attacking them. You'll want lots of assassins to do the killing, since the tigers will take hits for the priests against normal units, then be resummoned, so you'd have to be able to kill 169 tigers a turn to make any progress and I doubt you can. Consider dumping all your commerce into gold, spamming scouts/hunters, and upgrading them into assassins to quickly get the assassins you need

Those stacks are problematic, especially after nature's revolt. Wait until the march of the ents has gone. Mess up the stack with slows, pacifies, maelstroms, etc then let it collapse against a very strong defensive bulwark. Use the scourge promotion on your assassins to target the priests after the catapults and mages. Get animal capture on your rangers in defence.

As you're OO you can also use those cultists and stygians to destroy the stack from offshore, as suggested by Monkeyfinger.

Hi guys, I used the cannibalize tactic. I basically spammed freaks till I got someone with the trait, upgraded him to a mimic and went around stealing promotions before upgrading him to an immortal. He basically tanked/killed the whole pile by himself. It took around 15 mins for all the fighting animation to play, and I got like 50 something slaves from my civic.

So eveything turned out pretty good. Thx for the help

I once had a game where I'd carefully prepared and nurtured a pair of satyrs knowing that Keelyn was running a massive FoL nation and was likely to have a tiger army. Sure enough, once I'd fought my way through the Elohim and shared a border she declared war and sent in the 200 tigers. They walked straight into my illusory alakazar the assassin though and whole stack was killed right off. That annoyed me so much :).

The nuke in your case called Taunt ))))))

You need a good defended stack with a lots of Arlekins.
They will cast Taunt and some enemies will attack your stack.
Anyway, it will be much faster, cause you have bonuses and rivals have penalties and not vice versa. Also, it will be automatic battle and I recommend you to turn on "fast battle regime" in options, or otherwise you should do some houseworks)))

All other advices are still useful. If you can damage your rivals with magic, you should do it.
I also could recommend, if you have access to Ice Mana (Letum Frigus), Ice III, Snowfall, it is the most dangerous spell.

But Arlekins with Taunt - is the key!
And it's a very Balseraphian solution)))

Another way called economical blocade.
Such a huge army requires huge maintenance. So, you should isolate this city, capture other, destroy all improvements.
Also check on advisor screen how much money your rival has.
With a time all units should be disbanded.

Another way - diplomatic.
If you conquer enough cities and win enough battle, you could vassalize your rival.

This isn't very useful against AI at higher difficulties. The heavily discounted unit upgrade and maintenance costs are the reason for the stacks - the most significant limit to their army is the speed of producing it. If there's no attrition from war, the equilibrium point their forces reach is far beyond what a human player's economy would support.

I don't believe, that with one city even deity AI able to support 200 units. I believe 50 is real maximum.

I've seen a very large stack continue even when the AI owner was reduced down to one or two cities. I also wouldn't take the money shown on the economic advisior screen as any indication of how the AI can maintain or upgrade troops.

I'm invading a place, and they have a stack with ~50 pyre zombies. Any idea how I should deal with them?

Life 2 - Destroy Undead.

Get 4 mages with Life 2. Them alone can kill all 50 PZ's in a single turn with no explosions.

They can? Cool, thanks. That will probably work a lot better than throwing mercenaries at them. Started at 182, and now I'm down to a lot less from explosions

On a completely unrelated note, I wonder if the ffh dev. team is planning on making a version for civ V?

Pyre zombies are less of a problem if you have raiders -- you can send in one unit at a time, destroy something, and walk away.

For tigers, has anyone been able to produce enough units with subdue animal in order to take the stack away? I have not.
