[GS] How do I mod Civ 6?

I've been trying for months now to add some new civilizations to Civ 6 but to no avail. Everything I've found either automatically expects you to know how to edit the files, or is like Keniisu who's tutorial was the only one that I understood, until he decided to end 3 episodes in and switch to friggin anime. Any modding help would be greatly appreciated as I have been working for months attempting to. (P.S. I would like to use XML over SQL if possible)

I use both, XML to add data, SQL to modify data.

I find XML much easier to debug when adding more than a few rows of data in a table.

On the other hand, SQL is very, very, very useful when you want to make large changes to multiple tables (from a "setup" table for example) or implement other mods compatibility.

Thank you! Looking forward to trying this!

I haven't been as active recently, but if you do use it and you end up with any queries, comments or anything else - please do post in the associated resource thread and I'll definitely get back to you.
