Please help a noobie.

How do you install mods in Civ 3 Complete? In Morrowind, where I happily used 100+ mods, they all came with instalation instructions in the read me. More by trial and error I got Rhyes' to run.

Can you use civs, units, etc. from a mod in regular games? There are 2 editors in the Civ complete and I'm not sure which to use. I tried a rename in the basic, unpatched civ 3 with some success.

Thanks!
If there's a sticky on this, I couldn't find it and search didn't turn up anything . If I missed something obvious, sorry.

Just add the files in the scenarios folder, that should do it really. :)

I'm not familiar with Complete, but I think the Scenarios folder is in the usual place, that is, something like Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios. You can recognise it because it contains various minor mods that come with the game, such as multiplayer versions of the conquests, and mods with names like "No unique units" or "No civ traits".

As for using custom units etc in normal games, you can't, or at least that is not adviseable. The thing to do is to make your own mod which is identical to the standard rules except for including the units or whatever you want to put in there.

Thanks! After having instructions like, "extract the meshes into the appropriate subfolder", simply putting the whole mod folder into scenarios is a blessed relief!
