Well, it's a better shot at an answer than asking any humans. We have no way to truly know what Satan looks like. So you can either ask Satan or ask God. Personally, I suggest asking God. I suppose if you really have to know, and don't feel God answered you, you could lead a very bad life and await death. But I don't suggest you go that route.
Intuitively that sounds like a stupid thing for God to do. Why not completely nullify that ability and God's creation is saved?
Why take a detour via a virgin-birth and crucifiction and Pentecost-trouble that has proven to be not effective enough to convince 100% of the people at all. A problem God knew existed since before Jesus it happened as well. The story of Gideon in the book of Judges is a good example of that.
...because God's love for mankind prevents him from eliminating Satan, and therefore, temptation/sin/free will: he wants a meaningful relationship with imperfect beings that choose to serve him, not mindless drones or tape recorders. And because God is not willing that any should perish and is willing to give Satan until his "due time."
