How long should a Civ turn take?

How long does it take you to play a Civ6 turn on Standard speed in the mid-game?

I'm used to the good old days of playing quick turns, managing a few things and moving on but with Civ6 + DLCs + updates I don't think I can do that anymore.

How long does everyone else take on their turns?

I've played on Online, Standard and Marathon speeds and the amount of decisions to make is becoming...overwhelming.

I've had many times where I built no wonders in a game because I had to backfill with more districts. Is that normal for Civ6?

Playing Marathon / huge maps / deity here. It really depends on the turn: "standard" will be less than 3 mins., but if there are some changes of policy cards, unit movement during a war or some hard decisions to make after checking the status of all my cities, I've had turns lasting 10 minutes each. Thankfully less for most turns though, since I need around 700 turns before winning one game...

That'd be like 100 hours for a game...ouch!

That sounds about right, a game will usually last me a month with approx. 2 hours per week day and 10 hours per weekend...

2024 update: I played a single-player game with "online" speed; turns were a few minutes.

The game turns that took the longest were during the mid-game, and when warring, setting up the units and micro-managing the cities so they have the right footing for the next eras (switching from growth to production to science focus). In the late game, the turns were longer when I had to pick trade routes and set up spy operations and when there were many units to upgrade.

I'm sure there are some optimizations to my gameplay that I could make, such as reviewing the detailed lists of reports.

The game finished in around two days with a science victory.

Overall, my turns take longer when I'm at war. I need to move units, strike with siege and/or ranged, decide whether to finish taking the city this turn or next. When I'm at peace, the turns at standard speed go by in less than 3 minutes.

Exceptions: I am diligent about saving the game regularly, to allow me to stop and come back to it in a day or two. When I restart my session, "Resume Game" on the main screen, the first turn always takes longer. I check the build queue in every city, sometimes more than once.I check diplomacy with each AI leader to see if I can sell them something.
The first turn in a new era often takes longer as well. I've chosen a dedication, so I will visit each city's production queue to check when they might produce their next district. Is there something that I want them to produce? If I choose "Reform the Coinage," I might take some time to check which cities need trade routes and how can I minimize the turns needed to complete each one.

Domination on a Large Map can often take ages it can take 10 minutes just to move my Air force (I'm a fan of Huge air forces)

I have never timed my turns, but even on huge maps I don't think I'm going over 3 minutes unless I'm doing one of my conquer the world games and have a lot of military battles to conduct.

But I have over 3000 hours in this game, so I generally know what I want to do ahead of my turn (the trick is remembering it with all the annoying popups :) ).

Huge/Marathon here. Long times early (exploring) then a period of next/next/next then turns get longer and longer, repeat.
Moving units across large maps, PITA.
