Civ4 = no records, unfortunately
Civ5 = ~12,000
Civ6 = 140
Civ7 = 40 (uninstalled the game)
You can see where I became obsessed I have spent most of my time in Civ5 trying to get the Honor-Commerce-Autocracy strategy to work on Deity level. It is hard to pull off, so I keep on going back to it to see if I can do better.
So I am not on the right place now to get exact numbers, but it should be around this (keep in mind I never let the game idle, even for a shortish break, if I leave for more than a pee, I quit and reload when I am back):
Civ7: Somewhere between 500 and 600 hours.
Civ6: Around 1200-1500 hours, give or take.
Civ5: Around 1000 perhaps?
Civ1-4: Not possible to ascertain.
I have over 300 currently. On the past games I probably ended in the 900 -1000 range so tracking about the same. I enjoy rewards or trophies so when I run out of those i lose interest typically.
Civ1: No idea, but possibly around 30ish hours? Didn't help that the game was on several discs for the amiga500
Civ2: Did not buy
Civ3: No idea. But few hundred hours
Civ4: 49 hours(steam purchase). Retail purchase probably few hundred more.
Civ 5: 1093 hours(online mode steam, offline unknown)
Civ BE: 139 hours
Civ 6: 451 hours
Civ 7: 12 hours
7 - 391.5
6 - 480.2 (tried 6 a handful of times over the years, but most of these hours are from Fall/Winter 2024)
5 - 5623.1 (disliked 5 initially, started playing it once 6 came out and I disliked 6, so I played 5 instead)
4 - 1626.8 (with pre-Steam plays, probably close to 10,000 hours -- I play 4 from release until 6 came out)
3 - 223.1 (with pre-Steam plays, probably around 1000 hours)
2 - would guess around 3000-5000 hours (played this for hours everyday throughout middle-school and high school).
1 & Call to Power probably have 200-500 hours each. Beyond Earth has about 20 hours, but I removed it from my Library, so ::
Civ 7 = 663 hrs (play only Diety; choose Light Disasters, no crisis, age length long; using Finwinkle's and Sukritact's mod, small map)
Civ 6 = 4442 hrs
Civ 5 = 4788 hrs
Level 37 on the Foundation Level for Civ7

Correct... didn't care about challenges at all until last 50hours when I noticed my Foundation level took ages to go up. Still not sure I care, but here and there I still look to see what challenges are about.
Civ 4 = about 7000 (70% of this online multiplayer)
Civ 5 = 4500 (zero multiplayer)
Civ 6 = 27000 (easily 90% of this online multiplayer)
Civ 7 = 350 (about 50 hours online multiplayer)
I stopped playing Civ 5 immediately upon Civ 6 release. I doubt I will stop playing Civ 6 any time soon, Civ 7 just isn't enjoyable to play in its current form in multiplayer)

Civ 7: 0
Civ 6: 1hr
Civ BE: 6,938 hours
Civ 5: 2,081 hours (almost exclusively playing spatzimaus's Alpha Centauri mod)
Civ 4: probably around 200
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri: extrapolating off of my BE numbers (i.e. roughly 6k over ten years), then I'm going to say somewhere around 9,000 hours between 1999 and 2014.
Civ 5: Steam says 3100 hrs, but is it true that I can have hours not logged by Steam because I played in offline mode for many years?
Civ 6: 4500 hrs.
Civ 7: 0 hrs.
