Just wondering how many people here play with ToT? Ive been making a mod sort of thing for ToT with the no limits patch, I would like to post it to see what people think, just wondered if people are still interested in ToT though....

I havent been to this forum before ... ive been to apolyton and infogrames sites but not much ToT stuff happening there :(

well thanks for reading this :)

Test of Time is the only Civ I've got and until I came onto CivFanatics I didn't realise how many Civs there were.
I'm not into Scenario designing at all but if there are any scenarios/PBEM games that can be played on TOT then I'm in!
:D

I wish I had ToT. I have a rip of it, but it can't be patched so I can't play scenarios :-(

Is there anyone who owns the game who is willing to make me an image of it...?

Are there any patches that convert ToT scenarios to MGE?

I don't think mits possible. The games are different as are the graphics

Tough to do. ToT has a ton of extra terms in its macro language that aren't present in earlier versions. It also has some 20 odd extra units. Graphics support True Color. Most ToT designers take advantage of these features. Some even use multiple maps.

Why not shell out the $10 and buy ToT?

Edit: didn't see Voltar's reply until too late.

Ouch, that's poor! Personally, I like it so much that I'd give up 2-3 sixpacks to save the money. Can't say I'd do that for many other $10 games. Still, you have to remember I'm talking about American beer. It'd be a tougher decision to sacrifice some non-American brew.:D

HAHAH! I hate American Beer. Nasty watery crap. No offense intended to the Americans just their beer skills

Hey cool, thanx for the replies :)

My mod thing is not very sophisticated so far... basically like extended original game with 2 planets, but also there is an underground / underwater map. I am thinking about another map, a moon world or something like the oribtal platfrom from the sci fi game, or something..

Units, techs and wonders are different.. its supposed to be another world that humans colonsied thousands of years ago, but some great disaster happens and these colonists forget where they come from, they loose all the hi-tech the knowledge and start again from the stone age.. still working on the plot and events and stuff...

I tried to download and play some normal civ2 scenarios here, but seems there mostly civ2 gold, i have only got scenario + fantastic worlds
:( :(

Yeah I have ToT and I'd be willing to play stuff that comes out :goodjob:

Voltar you cheap drunken Russian! I just purchased ToT at Ebay for $5.97 (American). When I get it if I can burn a copy Ill send it to you. So Pm me with an adress.

If your so cheap why complain about American beer? (The best kind of beer is free and cold). (And the cold is optional!):D

HAR HAR! The thing about American beer is it's watery crap. Europe is where it's at. Heineken, Carlsberg, Pilzen, Macabe(which is actually asian)...

Steve thanks for the offer, but i'd feel bad having you ship it to me. In the interest of saving money, how about you just create a CD image and send that to me and i'll burn it myself.

$5.97! You are a cheapskate! :D When you're drinking next with a richer guy, try Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Anchor Steam, or Pete's Wicked. Rule of thumb, if the brewer can afford to advertise big time on US sports, then it's swill.

Did you know Tsingtao beer started when that city was a colony of Germany? Best thing the Germans ever did for China. Should be a wonder if anyone ever does a scenario of WWI in China!
