How much money is there?

World's GDP doesn't say anything about how much money is floating around. I assume you mean the stock of capital built up over time, and GDP only gives the amound produced in a single year, not the amount that has accumulated. I think a recent estimate puts the valuation of Britain at 60 trillion dollars, in terms of capital/infrastructure and all that jazz.

Of course not, everything would double in price.

I think we're not talking about the same thing. Something's value is measured in money - it always can be. If a currency has less value, then price in that currency will be inversely proportional to its value.
