Inspired by the thread "Does soy make you gay" and its discussion of meat eating, how much red meat do you eat per week?

aka Are you a girly-man*?

As for me I just started with this butcher I go to in the work car on Mondays and get myself a nice rump (about 4kg). Sweet.

Same as rmsharpe. Also I have no idea what your crazy moon grams mean. I could maybe estimate in pounds or ounces but not your communist "grams".

wow you guys eat alotta meat.

i like chicken and tuna more, besides i supplement with protein powder when im working out alot.

and as a matter of taste, i think potatoes, rice and bread is much tastier that any kind of meat, always have.

This is what a 500g steak looks like:

Also 1 litre of milk/water is 1 kilogram.

Gram and ounce converter.

dosent the idea of eating that much meat strike anyone as disgusting?
i cant eat meat only, without bread or potatoes or something, if i was to eat all that meat, id have to eat a good kilo of potatoes or so, and that would probably kill me.

I eat a lot more white meat. Chicken sandwhiches are awesome.

That doesn't mean I won't pass on a good Texan grilled steak though.

Roughly speaking 1 Kg = 2 pounds.

Most of the meat I eat is chicken. And I try to eat fish but sometimes is difficult. Fish portions in restaurants are smaller then meat portions, so I usually go for meat. (And when i say fish, I mean fish, not prawns)

So I would estimate 2 pounds, 3 pounds tops. about 1 to 1.5 Kg.

There is absolutely nothing manly about eating meat that someone else killed. I have said it before and will keep saying it. Any woman can eat an animal that has been slaughtered by someone else, try tracking down and killing a gazelle using only tools you made with your own bare hands and then I will consider it manly.

At any rate, I have a ham sandwich every weekday for lunch but don't eat meat with breakfast or dinner (usually).

The internet says 1kg = 2.2 pounds.
Then the Internet is lying.

I never eat meat by itself, I doubt anyone does. Personaly, I usually eat my meat as taco, pasta, hamburgers and homemade pizzas.

I also eat fruits between my meals and make wok-dinners with vegetables and fish (I'm trying to eat more of this), so it's not only meat. ;)

Who said that the primary reason for eating meat was to be manly? Though protein-heavy diets usually means one grows tall and handsome. :D

And about hunting with self-made tools: If I hunt a gazelle with a self-built rail-gun, would you then consider me manly enough? :p

I have no idea how much it all weighs total. I eat it with on average two meals a day.

The poll options rather imply it.

If you can build a rail gun with tools that you took out of nature yourself, you don't have to kill anything to be considered manly.

I really don't eat as much as I'd like.

Maybe a good 1lb. steak every couple of months. I'm mostly a white meat eater.

I usually eat one steak per week, plus random doses of hamburger, ribs, etc.
I probably eat more chicken than beef, very little pork, and almost no fish.

I love meat, I could never be a vegetarian. :D
