How prevelant is mexican food where you live?

They just opened a new mex fast food place here called Qboda which I assume to be a chain, damn god food moderately priced. Has anyone seen this anywhere else in the US?

Saw one in Lawrence, KS, and in Seattle, WA, in SeaTac. Had one of the rice wraps at SeaTac, it was okay. Good, actually, but Pepperjax's wrap is better.

I liked their chips and salsa. The salsa was more chunky than saucy. Yum.

We have a good number in Pittsburgh, but most are pretty average. Basically just sit down Taco Bells. The quality has gone up alot due to an influx of mexican immigrants the last 5 years.

There are two places that rate high in my book: Mad Mex for its killer burritos and El Campesino for its "Everything Platter" which is a chile relleno, a burrito, an enchilada, a taco, and a side of refritos and rice.

I dont see any Qboda chain in my area, but pathetically Taco bell is practically in every 20 mile radius in the Northeast Ohio area.Quite popular with students after a night of binge drinking.
I prefer a mexican restaurant called[the"Red Lobster" of the Mexican restaurant chain]Chipolte.

I don't remember what it was called, but it was a cillantro rice burrito type thingy. Really good.

Quite a few very good fairly authentic Mexican restaruants. A whole lot of great Americanized ones too.

Chipotle rules! (That's a chain of Americanized Mexican fast food joints that are supremely awesome, like almost freakin' GDR quality)

In the Arlington, we have
a lot of Mexican restraunts and
millions of other Hispanic culture restraunts.
Those Mexican restraunts are pretty good.
The best is Rio Grande.

Chipotle = Best. Mexican. Chain. Ever.

Locally, the best Mexican food restaurant we have is called Pancho's, it's got a stereotypical angry Mexican guy as its logo and the food is awesome!

For a chain Chipotle kicks ass. A fast food restaurant with beer is a fantastic idea. Do they all sell beer or is it just around here?

Chipotle is owned by McDonald's and usually has a good 1000+ Calories per burrito, though.

There are actually like 4 mexican restaurants in Williamsburg (no idea how many in Princeton), but I usually like to eat at Baja Fresh in NOVA.

In Rio there is a decent number of mexican restaurants, at least in the South Zone. Mexican food became quite popular in the last decade(before that it was practilay inexistent).
The quality is also good. The main difference between what we have here and what there is in the US is that over there there are many fast-food mexican chains. Over here they're mostly regular restaurants. The main mexican food restaurants chain in Rio is called "Guapo Loco". There is this one restaurant named "Cozumel" that is really close to my home.

I live in Montréal. If we have anything here it's restaurants! It's very easy to find every type of food in town. Thai, Mexican, Indian, Cambodian, Lebanese, Brazilian, you name it, we have it!

A chimichanga is basically a deep fried burrito. Take a flour tortilla, put some meat and cheese in it, maybe some refried beans (think mashed pinto beans) and drop in the deep fryer. You could bake one as well.

A burrito is a flour tortilla, with beans and other fillings.

A fajita... it's a smaller tortilla (about 5" diameter, I think. A burrito is about 10") with steak or chicken, red & green peppers, and onions. The veggies are usually fried. The tortilla is folded over to look like a taco, not rolled up like a burrito.

<snip>
Yum!! The Chimichangas are the deep fried, orgasmic, calorie busters I love the best. Anything that bad for you HAS TO taste good!

We have a qdoba here in Charlottesville that's pretty nice, and there are a few locally owned mexican restaurants that I go to when I'm at home.

We have just about every type of food here in NYC. Mexican being only one small selection of the various types. I think I'll order some Mexican tonight for dinner since I haven't had it in a long time. :)

There's a Mexican diner, Tequillas, that I go to for lunch about twice a week. The steak quesadillas are to die for.

Yeah, but after the burrito it's not like you'll be eating anything for the next 8-10 hours.

Baja Fresh is pretty good, I will say.
