I prefer not to associate myself with any political movement and to look at every issue for itself.
In general my views are pretty much along what I percieve as "giving people all freedom there is as long as it doesn't restrict other people's freedom".
If you want a label then take "Libertarian Socialist" ;)

Independent.
I am broadly in favour of this, that and the other.
I especially like a bit of the other! :D

Seriously, folks.

Less of this nanny state. People should get off their backsides.
No job? I'll find you something to do.
Gradually phase out cars. Mass Transit is the ticket.
Solar power, wind power, water power.
Recycling.
Tough on crime. Tough on the causes of crime.
Nationalisation of industries.
That sort of thing.

My option not available. "Blue-Green" in Canadian parlance (Blue being the Tory colour), or "Green/Conservative" / "Green/Libertarian" in a more yankee-friendly vein.

As far as personal freedom goes I am very much Libertarian. However I think that Libertarians are too extreme for me. I see value in many govermental programs and operations and elimanating them doesn't seem right.

I would call myself a Liberal Democrate.

15 options, and none I can really identify with !

Call me a hybrid European social-liberal moderate, if that makes sense. Pro free-market and individual freedom, but understanding the importance of the social safety-net.

Same here. In France, I usualy votes UDF (center-right small party, junior partener in governing coalition) ; the centrist, reformist wing of the Socialist Party is ok with me as well.

i'm a pessimist about politics. any one of those 'views' given free reign would just become corrupt and shy far away from any of their ideals.

I would say that I'm a libertarian (small "L"). But, I'm more of a "Constitutionalist" than anything, and the Libertarian party is about as close of an ideology as you can get to returning this country back to its roots.

We need to get the government out of our bedrooms and out of our offices.

Government should be responsible with the trillions of tax dollars they steal...errr...take from our pockets, and it should be held accountable for these funds. We need a balanced budget.

The income tax is unconstitutional and immoral, and should be abolished.

We should have a limited social safety-net with restrictions, but including basic health care for those that need it. But, unless a person is young, old, or handicapped, they should have to work for any government services they receive.

We should abolish prohibition of all kinds (prostitution, gambling, marijuana, etc.). Human nature cannot be regulated, and we should stop wasting our resources in these misguided campaigns.

Violent criminals should be locked up for life. Do the crime, do the time.

All international conflicts that the U.S. military is involved with should be voted on by the public.

We should stop subsidizing everyone else around the world. Either they stand on their own merits or they fail. Its not my problem.

We should enact tariffs to protect our people and end the iron grip of globalization and the exploitation of the world's citizens and resources by international businesses.

We should completely control our borders and only allow legal immigration. If you are here illegally, then you will immediately be deported.

If a politician is caught stealing from the public or is being manipulated by his/her desire to fill their pockets at the expense of the citizens, they should be executed.

Russians become Pacifist environmentalists, Germany is lobbying against war, Korea reaches a World Cup semifinal - the 21st century certainly is strange.

Ardent, hardcore conservative in both senses of the word. Loosely religious, though.

I tried to figure out where I would fit on the poll. But since I don’t know how I could compare my party to any American one, I just took the test on the Libertarian Party Site John had in his link. :goodjob:

Look where I ended up

I read somewhere that people move further towards the centre as they age. Therefore in theory, most of the racists and communists here are below CFC's average age...
BTW, I am a fascist (though I am 16, so if this theory is correct I may end up as some kind of conservative)
