I like to act, I was in several small plays at my school, and a couple major plays there as well, I will most likely not persue it however as it can be an unstable job market for most people and I am looking to some day support a family. The point of this topic is not just my pointless dribble (well to me it isn't pointless as it involves my future but to you it most probably is) but to ask if any of yous are thesbians (actors\actresses) as well.

I was in a play by Bertolt Brecht in university. I was very happy when I was cast for one of the major parts, until I learned that 'Brechtian' theatre is all about making the audience constantly aware that they're watching a performance.

In other words, I was chosen precisely because of my poor acting skills.

Oh, and as for your question: I'd guess that 90% of actors don't do it full time. I've got a couple of acquaintances that are relatively successful--ie, a few commercials, the odd supporting role in a (Canadian) TV drama, some cartoon voice assignments (also supporting)--and they don't live off it. Though it must be nice to get a 50,000 dollar 'bonus' every couple of years when they get a particularly juicy spot.

Your second post wasn't in answer to my question, your first post was. I asked who here acted... But thanx

I've done a couple of high-school musicals (Rodgers and Hammerstien of course), but nothing remotely professional. I do like role-playing games, and to do them right, you do need some acting ability.

I was in a TV Show. As a background character. Well not a whole lot of acting to do........but I got $400 for one day!!!

I was the star in a school musical in Grade 4.

But I don't like acting or singing.

Oh Brad, if you're going to be an actor, you should atleast know how to spell thesPian, not thesBian.

Tell the truth Brad, you've got lesbians on the mind

Even though I did drama in secondary school, they never let me act in any performances, except for one where I had to pretend to smoke in front of the Archbishop of Canterbury (funny story, but utterly indecipherable to anyone who has not been part of the private (public in Britain) school system). The bastards never let me, even though the others thought I would be good.
Am trying to put together some small plays at the moment (namely "Latin, Or Tobacco and Boys"), but the re is no real interest in my circles.
Am more of a playwright, having completed one 6 act magnificence entitled "One Night in Bakunin" (combine Waiting for Godot with Lysistrata....
