IHt: Man, the last player was horrible. Oh wait. hehe. Buy in the Babylonians against the Americans. We have 2 oils hooked up and a third that can be. Pull the revolution. 2 -turn anarchy we still make 147 gpt.
IBT: American sub sinks our Galleon, some bombers do their thing.
Turn 1: Workers work and babylon lives on.
IBT: American Bombers harass A dinky town.
Turn 2: We go commie. Now to get some courthouses and markets going. I swap almost all the builds to courts, markets, and other desperatly needed infra.
IBT: American Marines take new Richborough. They then send in lots of ships.
Turn 3: Retake new richborough, gaining 47 gold and killing 4 ships. Spy plant with America unsucessful, Babylon, sucessful. America is now in anarchy, babylon has 2 spears, 2 pikes an MDI and a LB.
IBT: Babs depart the planet. Our gpt is at 709. Americans land 2 tanks up in former English territory.
Turn 4: Pop an MGL on the tanks. Can you say cavalry army? that is 3 Triggers. America is Facist.
IBT: Americans capture hastings with marines. I had no troops there. They then drove in a bunch of ships. Bye, Bye.
Turn 5: America has Tow's. Kill 1 TOw, 3 infantry, 1 flak, 2 marines and recpature Hastings, killing 4 ships.
IBT: Americans are bombing london and old English northern Isle. We lose Hastings again, and America lands another slug of troops on the old English main.
Turn 6: Do the peace and gpt for steel. Get Medicine and 72 gold from Sumeria for Steel. A spy plant on the Americans renews the hostilities. and doesnt work.
IBT: Canterbury falls random bombings and assualts on English Isle.
Turn 7: Recapture Hastings, bringing all our artilary over to the old England. Bringing over troops and just trying to hang on for a while.
IBT: Another huge American landing.
Turn 8: Kill a bunch of Americans and steal scientific method from the Sumerians for 2700 gold. Slowly upgrading some of our Muskets to Infantry on our main.
IBT: Marine attacks Hastings, it holds. Americans start the UN.
Turn 9: Recapture Hastings with the destruction of 2 American Bombers.
IBT: Some bombings in york. A landing in northern Island, a few stupid riots as I shuffled MP's.
Turn 10: Kill the landings. SPHQ completes in London, gpt raieses about 100 gpt. Banks start to come online shortly.

Good news, we are a lot more productive, make more gpt and have vet spies. The bad news, Microbe gets a chance to screw us.
Good news, we have 3 more techs. Bad news, the Americans have at least 2 modern age techs. The game can be significantly challenging from here on out.
After microbe I think grs is up.

Yes it was. I am leaving Hastings open as a trap. I will let them take it, then kill their units and their ships.

Pre: MM cities. Planting a spy fails again. America has 73.237 culture.

IBT: Abe sinks a galleon. Sumeria takes Damaskus.

1595AD: America makes 608cpt atm. That will lead to a cultural victory in ~43 turns.

IBT: America lands a stack of 6 infantries and 2 tanks next to Canterbury.

1600AD: Upgrade our 3 last canons to artillery. Remove the American stack losing 2 cavalries. Rearange garrisons, chop the last forests and start the last land improvements in our homeland. Americas gains 608cpt - 74.453.

IBT: America lands a stack next to Canterbury again. This time it consists out of 8 infantries and 4 tanks.

1605AD: We finally have a spy in Washington. Safely steal combustion for 3.300 gold. Remove the American stack losing 3 more cavs. America gains 612cpt now - 75.065.

IBT: Lose a galleon again. Sumeria does not want to pay 11gpt for our coal anymore.

1610AD: Bombarb the American fleet with artillery. America still gains 612cpt - 75.677.

IBT: --

1615AD: Safely steal mass production from the Americans. They still make 612cpt - 76.289.

IBT: --

1620AD: Sell mass production to Sumeria for 1.361gold, 32gpt and a world map update. America still makes 612cpt - 76.901.

IBT: --

1625AD: Safely steal motorised transportation. Culture graph at 77.513.

IBT: --

1630AD: Culture at 78.125.

IBT: America completes the Manhatten Project.

1635AD: Our homeland is fully improved now. Start to join native workers and mine irrgated tiles. We are overirrigated for communists. Culture at 78.745 - cpt risen to 620.

IBT: America lands 1 tank in former Greece lands and retakes Damaskus(EDIT: it was Mecca).

1640AD: Kill the tank. Still 620cpt - 79.365.

IBT: Trade motorised transportation to Sumeria for wines, 44 gold, 1gpt and their world map.

1645AD: Safely steal flight. Entremont to Wall Street in 6. Culture 79.985.

IBT: America would make straight peace now.

1650AD: Bomb American ships. Culture at 80.605. The game would end in 31 turns with America over 100.000 culture at the current rate. It is improbable they will speed up more than a turn.

Save and afterthoughts to follow.

EDIT:

1. TECHS: We make enough money for a safe steal every 3 turns. You need to trade for a bit of cash from Sumeria to make one next turn, but from then on we should make enough. I would go for tactical nukes and ICBMs, so atomic theory, electronics, rocketry and satellites. We get ToW this way too.

2. DEFENSE: Was no big problem. You have a stack of artillery on every islands. America is busy with Sumeria.

3. INFRA: We have all we want in most places. 36 slaves are enough to remove on or the other irrigation on our home isle.

4. MILITARY: Tanks, artillery and transports is what we need. We have to invade America in about 10 turns and we should have troops to try then. It is important to safely collect them somewhere till then as Americas submarines patrol our waters. Especially getting the transports joined together as we will only have one try. Maybe add some military ships for defense.

Where shall we land? Americas core seems best, maybe we can even snag the UN in Washington then?
 
We will need carriers with fighters due to the bomber count of America, but it sounds good to me. If Sumeria has more than half the culture we won't lose a culture war. And as long as America stays facisist we are sitting pretty as far as culture growth.

Here's what I understood from the screenies and edits:
1) Game will be over in 40 turns unless we do something.
2) That "something" is an invasion of American core starting in about 10 turns, or sooner if possible.
3) Keep stealing techs, shooting for tactical nukes.
4) Start massing troops and put together a transport convoy.

I'm thinking to first figure out a route that exposes our transports to American attacks for as few turns as possible. This will probably do more for force preservation than any amount of defensive warships we could put together.

Secondly, investigate the possibility of a second landing. It wouldn't have to be big, it would only have to be strong enough to use up a strong American attack. A nice mountain top in a far-off, non-railroaded province would be nice. That woud pull some of their best attackers away from our main landing zone.

If we can ensure a relatively short, safe route, and perform a distraction landing, we'll have a good shot of taking them out.

I don't have a good feeling about building a lot if fighters and carriers, however. They will take up a lot of time and shields. Plus, they don't always do the job. Bombers are going to get through and sink some ships. I would rather spend the effort on more landing craft and more troops, possibly also landing in Sumeria to make sure the Americans are kept busy on that front. This is more of a safety in numbers approach that would be more tolerant of losses. So, why not just buld up a bunch of transports and infantry, then throw in some artillery and battleships. The first to take some points off attacking tanks, the second to get bombed instead of our transports. But the focus would be infantry. And nukes, if we have any...
 
Here are my thoughts. Get an ROP with Sumeria. Take a worker and build a protected airstrip somewhere. Use our workers to build tons of airfields in our territory and airlift our stuff over and attack from there.

I like that a lot! Who needs battleships!

Can we build airfields yet? Doesn't that come with advanced flight?
 
Airefields are usually availible with flight, but I have never built them outside of the WW2 pacific scenario.
We just need to get one convoy over to Sumeria, which is probably aout 6 destroyers and 4 transports, each transport with 2 workers.
I would ask one of the other CFC members with more experience in modern war, but I honestly think that this is about our only option at this point. Of course, please don't let microbe back in, because 1 turn, and poof its all gone.
 
I took Romeo's advice, but let me tell you, I needed all the luck and then some!

1.1650. Nothing much, take a look at cities, do some very minor MM.

IT. American marines take Hastings and a bunch of troops and ships fortify inside.

2.1655. Kill 4 inf, 1 tank, 1 tow, 1 marine, sink some battleships etc. Retake Hastings.

IT. America builds the UN. Hope they hold elections ;)
They also land 2 tanks near Canterbury.

3.1660. Kill 2 tanks, give Flight + 3 luxes to Sumeria for ROP. They need lots and lots of help.

IT. Transport headed for Sumeria survives privateer attack.

4.1665. Keep shipping worker/infantry groups.

5.1670. Unload North of Muscat (close to front lines) and also North of Ur (in safe Sumerian area).

IT. Massive bomber attack. Lose 1 inf, 2 cavs, 3 slaves next to Muscat. Whatever happened to the front line? Oh, man. Looks like the Americans can take out anything on the continent whenever they feel like it. Bombers kill 2 tanks guarding some workers well behind Sumerian lines. They're targeting us on purpose. Workers survive and start building fortifications. They can't build airfields in friendly territory :P and they are stranded, since their transport was sunk right after they disembarked.

6.1675. Palace expands, our fighter sinks a privateer after artillery redlines him.

7.1680. Shipping more troops. Now that it's apparent how deadly the other continent is, we need to pick a much more conservative landing zone.

8.1685. Going around West through Sumerian waters, that looks out of range of bombers.

9.1690. Nothing sank, good. Land and rush to the only hill in neutral territory. Build an airflield. Airlift a bunch of defenders and fighter planes. Dig in and pray.

IT. Massive air/armor assault, kill 4 tanks and lose 4 infantry and 1 tank. The air base holds! Palace expands.

10.1695. Kill 1 inf and 3 tanks, lose 1 tank. Massive airlift, mostly defenders and our first surface-to-air missile battery. Bombrd and sink BB, CA, DD, transport approaching England. Yes, we have some bombers on defense. Not enough for offense yet. We're building tactical nukes, mech infantry, and jets. Convoys with armies and artillery are on the way. Everything else can be airlifted from the airfields dotting the tundra in the South.

Techs stolen: Atomic Theory, Electronics, Rocketry, Space Flight, Fission, Computers. I gave them all to Sumer so they have a shot at holding on.
