I Can Do Better (somewhat Open SG - Read on)

IHT: We get wines, Amphib Warfare, 72 gpt and 340 gold from the Sumerians for Satalites. Renegotiate with Sumeria so we don't give them nearly so much free stuff and reup our alliance against America.
IBT: Cruise missles, attacks, and artillary bombards. We lose some slaves in former America.
Turn 1: America pops synthetic fibers, we get it in 1. Kill barbs for 25 gold. Must hook up uranium now. Nuke and capture Philly, as it has Leo's and can save us a bunch of money on car insurance. Atlanta has 5 defenders (spy) Houstan has 5, but we can really attack Atlanta so Houstan gets the nuke. Nuke and raze Houstan losing 1 Mech Infantry. Attack atlanta Using mobile Sams to absorb freebie shots. Our attack on atlanta kills 20 odd of our units non of theirs. Arrgh. Wait till the big tanks come out.
IBT: Philly gets nuked, killing our tank army. Cruise missles and Arty abound again.
Turn 2: Syn fibers comes in. Our aluminum is also disconnected. Curse the nukes. Our fighter shot down an f-15. Amazing. We now have all 8 luxes.
IBT: Loose some units kill some units. It doesn't really matter.
Turn 3: WLTKD everywhere. Get aluminum back start lots of MA and ICBM.

More to come later. These 2.5 turns took 1.5 hours.
Turn 3: Continued, America And Sumeria start duking it out on the high seas.
Turn 4: Use the new good tanks to capture Uruk.
Turn 5: Capture St. Louis. Nuke then capture Atlanta. Capture Akkad killing an ICBM. Nuke and capture Chicago.
IBT: Mecca flipped to the Sumerians?? Whoops.
Turn 6: Capture San Fransisco. Sumeria nuked Ellipi and we take it easily. Capture Seattle and America is no more.
I will stop here and let Microbe go. This was almost too much. 5 hours for 6+ turns.
We can win this anyway now, we will make microbe pick for us?

Danz is up then, when he gets to it. Let us conquest this map and I'll collect my first Deity win.

Ok, I got it. I'll just keep attacking without any regard for civilized behavior until we get a conquest win.

The game was almost over when I started. We had 60% territory when America was defeated. I promptly declared on Sumer, deals be damned, and sent a dozen or so of our defenders to their deaths taking out the last two Sumerian cities on our mainland. The Northern island took a bit more work, because al we had was a few cavs there, but some airlifted armor took care of things one turn later. The other continent was quite a bit easier, with all the modern armor we had milling about. My main challenge was trying not to confuse our units with Sumerian stragglers. A few sneaky mech infs and we would have had to replace a dozen razed cities! Eventually, I broke down the Sumerian cities dotting American territory and fortified a sickening stack of mech inf, tow, and arty on the choke point. Sumer promptly sent their entire army at the choke on the next turn. They actually managed to kill a couple of our defenders. But on the next turn, our armor wiped them out. At this point I realized it would be very silly of me to try and take out the rest of Sumer. All we needed was a few new towns to fill in unclaimed land, most of which was already railroaded. I rushed a handful of settlers in the bigger American towns and pressed Enter again. Sumer didn't send a single attacker this time. Newly built settlers filled in some space and the game was over.

The game thought we did a "magnificent" job.

Nice work, team!

Sorry Microbe, I forgot to save. Only realized after I pressed enter, and then I just got the victory screens.

I'm surprised the game thought we were "magnificent". It took quite a while to win, and we used up a lot of troops. Just the last few turns were some of the ugliest I've ever played, especially on the mainland and the small island. I had to throw mech inf after mech inf at defending mech infs fortified on hills in big cities. Not an artillery or bomber in sight! It sometimes took three attacks to take off one hit point. Ugly!

In the end, I don't think there were more than four survivors left on the entire home continent, and the small island just had a couple of wounded cavs and a tow. I used up half our army in two turns :)
