I can't install the patch!

I've downloaded the patch and tried to install it many times, but every time all the mods that require the patch crash! What do I do?

Your title subject reads "I can't install the patch" which leads me to believe you are having an error while in the patching process.

However your post reads "all the mods that require the patch crash" which leads me to believe you have installed the patch, but cannot play mods.

I may need a little clarification.

Can you install the 3.19 patch?
Can you play Civ without mods?
Do/Did you have BUG installed?

No. It treats me like I'm trying to install BTS. Or mabye it DID install the patch.

Civ4BTS Regular isn't crashing, but Fall From Heaven 2 is, and probably Mars, Now and Modern Warfare are, too.

I have tried to install the new patch both online and manual but it crashes before installation is complete.
As soon as I check register game and newsletter or even if not and click to install.
My anti virus is not blocking it.
Help!!!

I also had issues installing the patch, but after manually deleting the folder where the installshield files listed in the crash report were located (C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional), the patch ran smoothly.

what version of the game do you have (all seperate disks, complete edition, a digital/download one)?

BTS is 3.17 and its the complete edition. I have tried to update from other sites and as soon as I click install it quits.

I'll go out on a limb and assume its the US Complete Edition.
Please open the windows event manager and look for any error message that is logged in there when the patch installer quits.

Found it and there are no errors. To make sure I tried again and noted the time. There are no application,system or any other errors.

Makes me wonder if the file is corrupted or the installer is crap. Or maybe my copy of the game.
Funny in that I have never had any prob with the other games from the company.
