I seriously need help with Civ 4. I am not familiar with all this cpu gibberish but I do know some basics. When i play Civ 4, for about 20-30 min..it crashes. Now I have tried everything, closed all processes, opened in a new window, i have it partitioned (other than C I changed the settings, played in a smaller map but it still keeps crashing.
I have the recommended sys requirments and i have a ATI 9600 video card
CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?????

I'm no expert, but will try to point you towards some of the common solutions...

are you playing large maps or at high graphics settings? (try lower settings)
have you downloaded the official patch 1.09?
have you looked at the stickied threads in this forum to find out about other work-arounds, such as deleting the memory cache?
have you tried the unoffical patch from Harkonnen? (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=146309)

Also, the more tech savvy may want to the specs of your computer...

I have tried all map sizes, i have lowered the graphics, i have the patch...i will check the patch from Harkonnen and see where it goes. Like I said it gives me about 20-30 minutes of play then it just shuts down. I have sent the error report. Thanks for the help
