@funxus - I don't think moving to India for work purposes will make anthing better.. and I'm more of an Amsterdam guy for fun.
I love India, but don't think I want to get used to the conditions, especially the food and pills for some diseases.
Then maybe see if you can go to Amsterdam.:) Unless you particularly like the people in the Netherlands, I'm sure Bangkok has just about everything Amsterdam has to offer, and more...

Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide.:)

Oh and don't be a hobo like rmsharpe, Mr. "Minneapolis" ;)
Don't think for a second that his ideas represent our city. It is one of the most progressive in North America, there are more Greens than Republicans on the city council. He is on the fringe.

And on topic, losing your job can actually be a blessing in disguise. Take some time, think about what you really want to do with your life, how you want to live it and where you want to live it. It can open up a lifestyle and professional paradigm shift that can lead you to something much better than you had before. Until you are desperate don't take a job just because you don't have one. Be choosy, you may be able to get something that makes you much happier in the long run than what you had.

As I have said before I was fired once. It led me to an opportunity to help open up one of the best restaurants in the American Midwest, got my food in a national magazine, my face on TV, and in the long run opened up so many doors and allowed me to increase my professional knowledge exponentially.

@Drewcifer - I hope you serve Humus in many forms, or it is not a restaurant for me! :p
Humus, you see, is a center for life.
Since its' discovery, a golden age for the entire world stomache has begun.
Utilize it, or stay hungry! :D

I serve it in a soft tortilla with chicken, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers and romaine lettuce as a wrap, $7.95, it is one of my favorites. But only during lunch, we go for haute Euro and American cuisine during dinner, it is good too and I can charge a lot more money.

8$ for humus?!
It's like paying 8$ for enriched ketchup... :crazyeye:

Labor is expensive here. It also means that people can afford $8 for lunch. Free range chicken, good olives and roasted red peppers aren't cheap either, the hummus costs almost nothing.
