I had this great idea

which earth map did you use?

Interesting, however can you move my starting position in your scenario 1E?
it is closer to Vienna (don't forget to move the Coal you put 1E of that position, otherwise my Capital would be above it :p)

also i think you forgot to remove Mali starting settler when you started...or ended up miss clicking, so he walked a little and settled that city.

i think the main problem (not that much) would be editing the civs, UU and UBs, if you want to use other sprites.

I know, but i'm just saying to move it 1E :D
because at the moment my start is (almost?) at switzerland, 1E would already be Austrian lands, but Vienna would be 2E~, but would be a weak position because of many mountains...

it loses 1 resource i don't remember by moving 1E, i think it's the wheat south of the Alps, but gets aluminium later, so i don't think it's that bad of a change, considering the wheat is likely to get in Roman hands unless my civ gets some culture early.

i'm looking at some maps and SK may not even use the 18 civs one so this debate all seems a little pointless.

I know, i'm thinking he will use the GEM one, otherwise every civ starting with 7 cities would fill most of the map, save for India, Siberia, South America and Africa.

with GEM even in Europe would be a lot of space remaining.

South East Africa is where the real squeeze is

I done a scenario based in Ilduce one, every city here is with his IRL position name (or almost, some i had to put these names because, well, these cities are supposed to be awesome and capitals, not something like PSKsiasja'sI)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XEXD6762

To run that scenario you'll need that mod :
Community Civ V
Don't forget to patch it

two African cities had to get some new resources because their position just sucked (Celtic Fury surrounded by Jungle, but with some nice settling spots near him ; while Civ'ed had a desert in half his cross, so i added some resources to both)

I'm also thinking one using my map, every civ with around 7 cities.

CCV is a Civ4 mod and nothing like Civ5. :)

you know what my civ has too much desert so can i be moved to india? (or Brazil)

Inohotep, from what i saw, your civ expands mostly in direction of India, and sometimes to north, or so i think...putting you here ensures that Sparthage will expand in the Middle East, like in my map, while you would expand to the north and east. :) will take a look at it, i'm playing a game at the moment, if your civ doesn't play well i will change it.

BTW, CCV mod is actually a mod made by people that stayed at Civ IV...
this is in the database :
"The Goal:

This mod is no attempt to bring the features of the official Civ V to Civ IV BTS. For sure not! Quite the contrary!

It's more that what many of us, especially civ veterans like me, expected Civ V to become. CCV tries to improve Civilization 4 like Warlords and BTS did. This mod improves the game in many details but doesn't change the game concept at all. Lots of the new stuff can be run optional. To customize the game press CTRL+ALT+O or simply use one of the new buttons in the upper left corner and go "Optional"."

if only you took a look instead of not reading ;)

EDIT :
so, i am playing a game, this is the save : Save
America :
From what i saw, Ilduce is quite powerful and advanced, even if he owns just 2 cities, because Tambien blocked him, however Tambien has just warriors :p
Like i said before Tambien blocked Ilduce expansion in the west, however he is big and has a poor tech, fielding just warriors.
SK is also very powerful, he founded Christianity early and is somewhat advanced and very big.
General Olaf is probably the most powerful civ in the American Continent, he is massive, keeps expanding and is probably doing well in tech, while he has no neighbours to slow his growth.

Europe :
I am a very powerful civ of course, i rushed Rome early and built most Ancient wonders, while just started expanding in France and plan in going against Spain. (however being played by a human it can't be said the AI will get all this)
Trexeric is doing somewhat good i think, he owns entire Scandinavia and probably won't manage to expand, unless he uses the longboats to rule the North seas and expands in Scotland.
Omega is doing well, to a civ between two others, he managed to expand and even settled a civ near my borders.
Red Spy is doing very well, despite being weaker in millitary and hating me at start...

Asia :
Sparthage is whiout doubt the strongest civ in the game, he is massive, having a very advanced tech and probably the most powerful army in the world (he has swords!!!) and expanded in good regions like Egypt, and for some reason settled near Red Spy. he also expanded a little in Greece.
Inhotep is doing poorly, probably because of lack of food resources (he can't build fishing boats in his capital) he has a poor score, however he is settling in India, so unless Sparthage attacks him he can recover...
Yoshi expanded in Indochina, ignoring Indonesia, however he will probably expand here next, because Tomorrow's is blocking his expansion, his other option is a minor civ in China, that Tomorrow's is probably also wanting to conquer.
Tomorrow's Dawn is having problem because of a minor civ settling really near his starting position, not allowing him to settle himself the rich region owned by that minor, maybe his capital should be to the South-east of Beijing?
Mosher is expanding in Siberia, like expected, i wonder if he will manage to get strong?

Africa :
Celtic Fury is one of the top civs of the game, he has a 6 pop capital, that is big considering he starts surrounded by Jungle, he also expanded in some good areas and founded Judaism, and is also converting the other South Africans...
Civ'ed expanded quite a lot considering his capital has a big desert near it, what is quite something, he blocked completely HJ expansion, unless HJ uses boats.
HJ has a awesome position capital, however is small and only managed to settle a city around the Cape, if he manages to settle areas with boats (like Madagascar and the Horn of Africa) he can get quite strong.

see, thats what im talking about! I want to move to either Brazil or India cause 1/2 of my plots are desert (and only 3 flood plains)

I think this would be fixed if i moved your starting position 1 SW, in that deer, and put the deer and forest in your old position :)
if this didn't done anything then your position would have to be moved to India or Brazil.

anyway, continuing in that game my civ became the strongest after some time, and i didn't took a look at the dmeographics, but i think my pop is the biggest (Vienna has 10 pop, Rome has 10 and Paris has 9 ~). while my army is massive with many praetorians (thank you Rome), Axes and Spears. even Sparthage isn't that strong...

EDIT : uploading the save again so you guys can see it...take a look at the WB
CCV Save
idk how General Olaf got this big, i think that he may end up at a civil war...he is really scary, soon he may unify south america
oh, i WB out the Celts because their civ is with some bugs and the game crashes because of them, i did the same thing to Shaka in NA to not sound unfair...even if the Celts were locked in a Pop 1 city with my massive army ready to go out here...

But the people are better than the AI, since you are playing, your civ is the best.
