I had this great idea

what about that happiness bonus in your UB? it is quite powerful for a early building...maybe make the same happines bonus as the regular market? (needs resources to activate some happiness)
 
UCB's Unique things
UU: Bosser - Replaces Marine - Starts with 2 promotions, +50 percent against armored units. Cost 25 more production than usual
UB: Super Market - Replaces Market - +50% gold, +2 :], and 1 free merchant. Cost 35 more production than usual
Is this fine?

wow thats the most overpowered UB since i made an incan modmod in rfc were they get 1 free specialist per moutain:p
as for the UU, which 2 promotions?
 
I guess 2 extra promos, way too overpowered too, considering at 5 exp it would have 4 (!!!) promos. and 10 exp 5 promos...no, please, it's already strong enough being a amphibious infantry and getting a lot of power against armored units (the same ammount my Tiger gets?). maybe a smaller bonus, like instead of 2 promos and +50% against armor, +25% defending against armor and +25% in river attack? (just a example)

But seriously, the bonus against armor is overpowered...it already can attack nicely from ships or across rivers. i don't remember the marine power btw, so i can't say it is that overpowered.
 
but remember: the navy seal has 2 promos
maybe the other promo could be ambush, instead of 50% towards armor units
 
But this is just the added bonus to the regular Marine, isn't it? plus choosing 2 promos the player wants and already starting with amphibious is quite something.
 
yeah but thats what the Navy Seal has, and the creators of civ usually make the most leveled UUs (by that i mean never too overpowered or underpowered)

Demoknight (Swordsman) 7, 2. +25% against other melee units
2Fort (Castle) All units in the city recieve a +50 % Defense.
 
Your UU seems massively overpowered, +5 power is bad enough but with shock AND an attack bonus?
I know you have a bad starting point but this needs toning down.
 
How do 75% cost ICBMs sound as my Nuke-loving Civ's UU?

And how about a building that increases production by 25% and serves as a barracks but requires Uranium and is fairly expensive?

For Silo i think it should replace either lab or bunker
i don't know how make buildings build specific units faster, so how 'bout it adds extra nuke protection or it unlocks nukes earlier?

and everybody, Yoshi and HJ are right, you should edit your first post instead of making a new one and all of these units are overpowered

Updated my UU/UB and my first post, but I'll post it here too.

UU Teutonic Knight - 10 strength unmounted knight with 50% against archers
UB Mosherian Military Complex - Barracks that gives +1 happiness for every early strategic resource (copper, iron, horse) connected to it.

I think that's more balanced. (Changes - reduced TK strength by 2, required strategic resource for happiness boosts for MMC)

Also, I think we should play on a randomized map, with balanced starts. Some of us have bad starts, no matter how much editing we do.

IDK, barracks + that building would be quite osmething...
i support you replacing the nuke shelter. maybe your building can give +15% millitary production with access to uranium. or just something like happiness and a bonus specialist with acess to uranium? (considering your civ loves nukes and all that)
about UU, what about like...something replacing rifles or muskets? but if you really want a strong nuke, what about longer range tatical nukes? because ICBM is very powerful, having such a bonus would be quite something if your civ gets some uranium. Tatical Nukes are very useful, they are nuclear, they are nukes, they can be loaded in subs but have limited range.

That's how overpowerred the Stormtroopers were in Real Life. The German Army did not expect the advances to break the stalemate in only 2 weeks, and the lack of supplies afterwards, combined with the US troops pouring in, is why they lost. :p

Besides, you said it yourself. I have a bad starting position. Its a concept known as Magikarp Power. You take something really crappy, and if you play well enough to survive, you later get something really strong. It's about the struggle to survive long enough to get the UU to change the very basis of the Balance of Power, not the rapefest that would happen afterwards.

But if you have so much issues with it. I'll remove Shock and reduce the bonus against garrisoned/entrenched units to 50%.
 
I would upload a WB save of the world I just edited and such, but it is apparantely an invalid file...
 
Work on the base of the mod has begun and will most likely finish tomorrow. You think I should post it here or make a thread in "Modpacks" in the mod area to make us look important? :D
