I had this great idea

No, this mod is just for us, so it can stay here. :p

That's how overpowerred the Stormtroopers were in Real Life. The German Army did not expect the advances to break the stalemate in only 2 weeks, and the lack of supplies afterwards, combined with the US troops pouring in, is why they lost. :p

Besides, you said it yourself. I have a bad starting position. Its a concept known as Magikarp Power. You take something really crappy, and if you play well enough to survive, you later get something really strong. It's about the struggle to survive long enough to get the UU to change the very basis of the Balance of Power, not the rapefest that would happen afterwards.

But if you have so much issues with it. I'll remove Shock and reduce the bonus against garrisoned/entrenched units to 50%.

your start is bad? you always seem to be one of the strongests.

I personally think work on this should remain here.
Anyways, I thought of a new UU:

South-Pointing Chariot:
-Mounted Unit
-4 STR
-2 MOVE
-30 Hammers
-Requires The Wheel + Horse resource
-Upgrades to Horse Archer / Knight
Default Bonuses:
Doesn't receive defensive bonuses
+100% attack vs. Axeman
Can withdraw from combat (10% chance)
Added Bonus:
-Immune to First Strikes
-Ignores terrain movement costs

EDIT - Nevermind, regular chariots get the 100% axemen bonus too.

I think China's horses should get moved down near Guangzhou, since they are in Beijing's BFC and I'll be at a major disadvantage, since I'll only have axemen; in return, put copper on one of the hills in Beijing's BFC.

There's already Iron in Beijing's BFC, so if you wanted to put Copper there, which I wouldn't completely oppose, I'd just have to request that it doesn't displace the Iron tile.

Anyways, I would advocate a more immediate position for Horses then if not in Beijing's BFC, preferably on or near the location the AI usually likes settling Shanghai in.

The only reason I'm being a bit pissy with the horses is that since you're my direct neighbor, you could easily rush me in MP with a chariot rush, especially since it is your UU and the immune to first strikes would give you a good advantage against my archers, too.

this is a good example of a non-overpowered unit
congrats to you Tommorow's Dawn for setting a great example for others:goodjob::clap:

I'm posting my ideas here so they can be discussed. I'm not making my civ's stats final yet.

How about a Tactical Nuke that needs no Uranium?

And how about we make the nuke shelter give a decent (I don't know what decent is, but enough to make it obvious) boost to happiness. It could also increase production by 25%, it require Uranium and costs about a turn's worth of production more.

How are those?

Also, Tambien: I think that SK beat you to that by calling the CSA. :D It's nice to see my home be fought over. Just don't get blood on my lawn.

In MP, I think you would have to worry about me Warrior rushing you instead :mischief:
I'm more for the cooperative style MP play where all the human players just take on AI though.
In any case, I'm still unsure whether I can or want to do MP with this though. My time zone for future reference is Pacific Standard Time and already looking at the timetable from a page or so back, it'd be difficult to get everyone together to play.

Those would be perfect, for your UB, decent would be 2-3:), it could cost +10-25% :hammers:
but by extra:hammers: i think you mean faster nukes but i dont know how to do that
i can, however, make your UB give 10-15% with Uranium

About tomorrow's horses : i don't know, if Mosher gets Bronze working early he can use both spears and axes, plus, i think warrior rushing is more dangerous (helloo Rome, i won't do anything to you with these clubs, don't worry...)
but if it is really that game-changing then i can remove it.

EDIT :
My unit costs 45 more hammers than default panzer now, i think that's enough. :p
UU : Tiger I - Same graphics as the Panzer (unless you want to modify it) and has 30 Strengh, starts with Blitz and Commando, it also has a +50% bonus against armored units. however it costs 45 more hammers than BTS Panzer.

oh, if we use LoR as a base, i think i will need 2 UUs...Germany has 2 UUs in LoR because of there being the Regular tank and a new unit : Heavy Tank.
where the Heavy Tank would be even more costly to me (awesomely costly unit), while the regular Tank would be good but not that strong and costly.

@duke of britan: i already have your civ, there's no need to keep posting:p
we dont need to use LoR as a base (im using Rise of Empires 3.5) but i can put 2 UUs and 2 UBs for each civ, so long as everyone just posts them in the ORIGINAL posts

Oh good, because i tough it would be a good idea to increase the ammount of hammers needed.
idk about 2 UUs, but 2 UBs would be alot, if we are going to change it then it would be nicer : 2 UUs and 1 UB. i however won't suggest this.

but about using a mod as a base, it should be a mod that does not crashes (well, even LoR crashes sometimes in mine ; Memory thingies it seems, i guess it's related to Windows 7)

LoR is quite unstable. I've modded on it before and it broke so I might use something else, such as Quot Capita, Neoteric World or something. Neoteric World is pretty good, I might say.

Updated my UUs

UB: Silo (Replaces Nuke Shelter): Provides same benefits as nuke shelter. +3:) and +20% Production Bonus with Uranium. Costs 10% more than regular Nuke Shelter.

Here's my updated info.

I forgot about my finals when I said that the mod would be done today. It may take a little longer. I've currently finished Tambien's Talorian Empire (It's the city names that take forever)

Okay, remember my first game back then? where i paused it in WWI? i loaded the save today and managed to get quite something in early-second phase (the one where i was having problems with a massive doomstack). what i did? i abandoned Moscow, sent all my armies to St. Petersburg, the most likely target after the Russians got their old Capital back, and i was right, they attacked, but the thing is, i had a defensive bonus thanks to culture, that really helped me inflict HEAVY losses in the Russian side. allowing me to rebuild my power while they had to recover the losses (all their troops had like just 3.0~ strenght, except the machineguns)

There are descriptions in the spoilers, read them to know what happened in that nice war.

First phase of WWI :
Spoiler :

well, this is just after i entered the conflict between Russia (Red Spy) and their vassals x Inhotep. It was the initial push, when Russia didn't expected that attack.

Well, this is the first fall of Moscow, and a big blow to Russia, until Germany abandoned it at the start of the second phase, to get to more defendable positions (St. Petersburg, just west of Moscow)

Spoiler :

the Capital of Finland, Helsinki, falls shortly after Moscow
