My advice is move to Australia.

Stormbind, did you just move to London, are planning on moving there, are just visiting, or are just speculating on it? I couldn't stand not having any fresh air.
Not really any of the above: Best described as, the new base of operations being in London.

Re: cost. Yeah, but you get paid a little extra for working in London and if that's not enough then ... dunno. Maybe import the stuff privately from outside the city, but that won't help with property prices. I remember one return ticket to London costing £99 (better part of $200 USD) :(

Victoria also offers an overland train link to Gatwick - so you can leave the country reasonably quickly.
Well, that explains how I get to Glasgow :p

When going to surrey I tended to take the train from waterloo - I can't remember if you can get a train direct to guildford as I used to exit at brookwood and then go into Guildford later by taxi and get drunk. The war cemetary at Brookwood is very peaceful and its right beside the train station if you need somewhere to reflect.
Cemetery huh? Not very cheery though is it ;) Thanks. noted. There is a direct link from Waterloo
.. anything from 30mins to just over 1hr though :hmm:

Changing at Guildford to get home was about the only reason I ever went there, but it's a link to familiarity so all good :)

What bothers me now is what am I going to do in London... Rapier/Sabre swordsplay is about the only thing that has me currently interested. Has anyone heard of good schools? Asside from getting drunk, is London noted for anything that can be done outside work? :undecide:
