that way they're trying to fool spam filters into believing that this is not, actually, spam (the fact that you got it says that it worked in your case )

To the life of me, I just can't figure out why spammers go to great lengths to try to get their messages through spam filters.
I can understand spamming open emails without any sort of protection. You're bound, out of 1,000,000 emails, to hit the stupid moron that will buy your stuff. That's fine.
But someone who has anti-spam protection? Doesn't that mean he's by definition not the average idiot that will buy into spam?
